Warning Dreams

I've had several warning dreams and it is so weird to me. HOW is there any way my mind could know that these things were going to happen before they happened is beyond me. I've had a few in the past year as follows: I dreamed I had driven the family truck to town and had locked my keys in the truck which is something I NEVER do. I'm constantly getting on to my teenaged daughter about carelessly locking her keys in her car which she does ten times per year. I NEVER lock my keys in mine though, right? Well... the very next day after my dream, I took the family truck to town. I had the two family dogs in the front seat of the truck with me and stopped at the local pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Since it was hot, I didn't want to leave the dogs in the truck with the windows down. It was a scorcher so I left the truck running with the air conditioning blowing since I thought I'd be in and out really quick and all would be okay. In the pharmacy, there were a few people in line for prescriptions so I had to wait about three minutes. While in line, I remembered my dream from the night before. I thought, "Oh, no. The dogs are going to hop up on the automatic locks and lock me out of the truck! Naaaa, I'm being silly." I didn't want to lose my place in line in order to run out and crack the windows. Sure enough, after I had gotten my prescription and went back outside, they had locked me out of the truck. I had to get a crowbar out of the toolbox to pry the sliding back window open and squeeze through in order to get into the truck. |
In another dream, I was in my car trying to write down the license plate number of the person in front of me. The very next day, I was traveling an hour to visit relatives and a drunk driver passed me. He was weaving all over the road. I slowed down to avoid being hit, then found an envelope and pencil on my seat. I was trying to see the license tag when I remembered, "Oh my goodness! I dreamed this last night!" In the next dream, I was using my curling iron in my bathroom and it fell in a sink of water. Sparks started flying and I was about to be electrocuted. The next day, I was using my curling iron in the bathroom, but this time, I was smart enough to recall the dream before I plugged it in. I was being very careful. While curling my hair, I dropped the curling iron. It hit the cold water handle and knocked it on. The curling iron dropped under the water, started hissing and sparking, but because of my dream, I responded by steering clear of the sink totally. I grabbed a paper object and knocked the plug out of the wall, then turned the water off. I used my dream to save me from injury. I wizened up and learned to use my dreams as warnings to be safer. It's weird. I dream all the time, but I KNOW when I have one of THOSE kinds of dreams. I get a certain feeling. I'm not sure how to explain it. Maybe, they are more vivid. I'm not sure. I'd like to learn more about these kinds of dreams and how to develop my gift to use for helping myself and others. | |
