We Were Seen

By NaHomTima

When I was pregnant with my second child, my mother, brother, and my daughter and I were on our way to see my oldest brother in Lacey. As we turned the corner, there was a very old cemetery. We all looked at the same time because there seemed to be a funeral going on.

The strange thing about it was there were no cars. All of the people were dressed in black. Both the men and the women also wore black hats.

All at once, they looked up from the grave and all of them pointed at us.

My mother and I started to cry from fear because of the way they were pointing at us. They kept pointing until we were out of site.

When we reached my brother's house, we told him of what we had just seen. He said that he believed they were ghosts or a poltergeist. He told us to go back there and see if they were still there, so we did.

Now, he only lived a quarter of a mile from the cemetery. When we reached it, the people we'd seen were all gone. I got out of the car and looked at the grave. It was the grave of a woman from the 1800's.

We hopped back in the car and left as fast as we could. Later, I looked up the attire that we'd seen them wearing and it was all from the 1800's. Had I been alone, I would have thought that I had imagined them, but with three other people and a child in the car, it was very clear what we'd seen.
