White Lights By: NaHomTima LeFlau |

This is a story told to me by my father, Jerry L., who passed away in 1991. When I was a child, I loved to hear stories of my father's childhood and this one that I heard throughout my childhood, about the White Lights, came to mind. My father told me that when he was a young boy, he and his parents and his four brothers had gone into town, Redstone, Montana, to see a picture show. Now this was a rare thing as money was not plentiful back in the early 1900's. My father and his four brothers were in the back of their Model A when suddenly there were three dancing lights dancing all around their truck. His parents saw them and slammed on the brakes. You would have thought, at that moment, that whatever these lights were, they would have left. To the contrary. They continued to dance and came together, then formed one, two, and three again. My father said that this went on for what seemed an eternity, then "whoosh", they were gone. Thinking that whatever they had seen on the road was gone, they continued on back to the farm. One of my uncles had to use the outhouse, and as you can guess, no one wanted to go out with him. So, since he had to go, he went out there and came running back . The lights had come back and had danced and chased him back into the house. The lights stayed out there for quite some time. As an update... when I was about 24 years old, I was listening to KGO- AM radio show out of San Francisco, California. A man came on stating that he was a pilot of an airliner. One night, while he was flying, these lights appeared right in front of his jet, dividing into three, two, and one. He thought he was seeing things until the co-pilot said, "My God, did you see that?" You tell me, real or not? |
