      I am writing to you from England and I thank you very much for sending me such a striking photograph of yourself. I will do my very best for you, and although I am far away, I hope that my Spirit Guides will help me obtain a reading for you.
     Firstly, Rebecca, looking at your picture, there is a sense of the mischievous in that smiling face. I am picking up a lady who loves to laugh and be happy. You also see the funny side of life. If you have to be serious, you are, but I feel that laughter is very near the surface most of the time.
     People notice you too and you have made a lot of friends over the years. Once made, they are often in your thoughts. A bubbly lady.
     I also pick up spontaneity with you. Get an idea into that "brainbox" of yours and, oh boy, you just have to do that thought.
   I get a "chatterbox" here, in the nicest possible way, Rebecca. You love to be able to talk to others on subjects that concern your life. I feel there is possibly a strong spiritual side to you also and you like to experiment with spiritual things. Open minded on lots of subjects, but you do, I feel, question if you don't think something you have been told is right. Hope you understand this.
     There is a strong Catholic connection here, maybe from your past and you maybe know this already, but you have a Guide with you of a religious path. I am picking a nun up very strongly and this maybe the strong Catholic connection. This nun has been walking your earth path for many years. I do not get a name for her, but hope you will accept her if you don't know of her already.
     I am picking up a photograph of a man in your life, in uniform of either Army or Air Force. It's difficult for me, Rebecca, being English to recognize some American uniforms. He is proudly posing for the picture.
     I feel also that you have many relatives (I am saying this as I am sure you are saying, "we all have lots of relatives") but that is not so. Some poor souls I see for private sittings don't know their family. Much laughter when you all get together.
    Oh, and music too here, Rebecca. Is there a lot of outdoor activities with you and loved ones?
    Food fits in very strongly here too. You know what you like and are not what we say over here "finicky" with your meals.
     Have you the name of Joan anywhere round you? I keep seeing also, a lady who you strongly resemble. She also has your humor and love of life. For that is what you have, Rebecca, a love for life.
    Nature, too, fits very strongly here. You will look at a beautiful flower, but unlike some people on this earth, you don't just see it, you see the beauty of it - you see the miracle of it.
     Who has been sewing fabric? Maybe curtains (drapes).
   The name of Harry keeps coming into my head as if someone in Spirit is shouting it at me. Who is Harry?
    Oh, Rebecca, I am picking up frustration with you over something happening in your life at this time. It's as if you wish it would go away. I feel Spirit are trying to smooth your pathway. It's as if those people round your aura that you see a lot have something to do with this.
    Have you also ever thought of acting? You are not afraid to stand up and say "your peace". I feel you would be marvelous doing drama.
   You like strong colors round you, Rebecca, not weak ones. I see oranges, browns, mixed with black and white.
     Is there something hanging also on your wall that is like a rug or mat?
     Who does Tarot? I see also candles and crystals.
     Rebecca? Did a baby have to leave the Earth plane and go back to Spirit? I am being told someone lost either miscarriage or not long born? I feel that baby is a boy. I say is and not was, as I believe so strongly that he is now growing up in Spirit - did not need to be on Earth for very long.
    You have very strong beliefs and these must never be shaken. Always trust our helpers over in Spirit to guide us through our life.
      I am picking up the name of Carmen? Who is she?
     There is a man coming forward from Spirit to say hello to you now. He was close to you in life and says he passed with heart condition. I notice his eyebrows. Dark and bushy. Can you accept him, please?
     Who loves Elvis Presley music? Also, does Florida State mean anything in your life?
     I also pick up a child now, dark haired like you. Little girl. She may have grown, but I see her as a child. Whew!! She knows what she wants from life and goes all out to achieve her aims. She was quite argumentative until she wore you down. If she is not your little girl, then is there another lady in your family who she belongs to?
     Rebecca, money is needed here by you for something important. Do you need to make changes in your home?
    There is also someone round you that has a dietary problem and this could be a young person.
     A lady much older than you needs help at this time I am being told - one who is very family oriented. Healing means a lot here. You can help her. Is she a Mother or a Grandmother? She is on a mother-type link.
     Is there a picture of angels anywhere? I see one. Have you heard of a Catholic rosary - see one also. There is that Catholic connection again.
     Walk to road that you are on now, Rebecca. Forget the rocks that are now behind you and strive for spiritual achievement. We cannot look back, only forward.
     Anything that I have told you, Rebecca, that you cannot take at the time of the reading, please don't dismiss it, or the people I have mentioned either. Ask others around you.

REBECCA MACBRIDE'S RESPONSE

     Firstly, Rebecca, looking at your picture, there is a sense of the mischievous in that smiling face.     
     Descriptions of my personality were very accurate, even the "chatterbox" reference I am forced to admit. My dad used to say when I was young, "Who put the dime into her this morning?" He said I had been vaccinated with a phonograph needle! However, I have dealt with my share of loss and was always more mature than my friends who had rather "normal" childhoods. So yes, I can be very serious and empathetic.
    I do see the funny side of life. My husband and I share a dry, sometimes sarcastic, humor and love observational humor. I often tell my friends I am a "frustrated stand-up comic."
    I enjoy people. However, I have a very low tolerance threshold for superficiality, for undeserved ego and pretentiousness. This can put people off, especially women, so I don't have MANY friends, but I have EXCELLENT friends.
    I am very spiritual as opposed to religious.
    I started out very religious, raised Catholic, immersed in lives of martyrs and saints. My mom had a bad habit of being late getting me from school and I spent a lot of time at the convent that was on the school property. It was such a great place to be. I learned macrame there. I would bake with the nuns after school. They played music. We were also close to our Pastor and he and my dad co-owned a large boat together. These were very raucous guys. We had picnics, played sports, went flying and fishing together. So, my memories of this time were very strong and positive. One nun stands out - an older nun. She told amazing stories about Jesus' life with these wonderful twists in them. She meant a great deal to me. She was about 5' tall and as thin as a wisp, always very crisply dressed and looked like she was scary, but she was hysterical. Sister Joseph Patrice! When she told the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, for example, she would end the story by saying one of the sisters gently asked Jesus if he could please roll the stone back to close the grave because - whew - in that heat - Lazarus was in serious need of a bath! Can you imagine!
     The man in the American uniform is no doubt my dad. He was extremely proud of being a Marine. It really defined his life. He died of a massive heart attack.
    Strong family, big gatherings:
    I am very interested in my family's genealogy - but that is because my family is very fractured. In fact, my husband and I feel family is quite crucial, but we have been estranged from our respective immediate families for some time now. We have made numerous attempts to fix this, but without success.
    You mention my seeing nature in a different way.
     I actually have a line of greeting cards that are largely floral and people often comment that they have a vibrancy that they have never seen in other people's photography. So, that was an interesting comment.
     Sewing fabric - maybe drapes.
    That is so funny because I have been pestering my husband about a large back sliding window that has no drapes on it and this makes me crazy. I recently asked a friend who can sew if I showed her some material, could she make some simple panels for me. Interesting that this came up. I have been a bit obsessed with thought of drapes.
     Name of Harry:
   This could be an elderly gentleman I knew who volunteered at a museum I used to work for in the mid-80's. He would have been in his late 70's or 80's then, so he may have passed away. We lost touch. He was an amazing historian, hysterical man, fantastic storyteller and LOVED everything spooky. Did tons of research on local supernatural sites in the Niagara Region. His name was Harry James. We often talk about him. We got along quite famously.
    My husband also wondered if you were possibly getting a form of my maiden name - Harris.
     Music - yes, my husband is a musician/composer. It is not his profession, but it is his calling.
     I am dealing with some very serious issues right now - health and family. I am feeling the impact of what other family is dealing with - but the real hardship is theirs. I can't help them in a tangible way, so it is very frustrating to see them go through such difficulty. I am dealing with severe pain issues.
    The part about colors - all for a friend. I love purple, violet, water and sand colors, blues and greens. Yes, I did have on that RED shirt in my photo. My family begged me to burn it, I wore it so often. I called it my power shirt - I wore it at work - it put out that IN CHARGE vibe.
     Who does Tarot and like candles? I do - from the time I was 16 professionally. I have not taken money for it for many, many years - I was uncomfortable with it. I would enjoy doing it more, but I have been too depleted emotionally. My readings are very long and detailed and I just haven't had the stamina.
     My 8 year old's newest line when he is told he can't do something is, "You don't know what will happen - you're not a fortune teller, you know! You can't see the future!" And I tell him he has no idea just what I CAN see and BOY is he going to be surprised some day.
     Child leaving the Earth plane: Not me. But I did want more children and could not have any more. I had great trouble with my son and was told another pregnancy could be life threatening for me. It was very traumatic for me and I could not go through that again.
     My sister lost a child, however. My mother-in-law had three miscarriages. Perhaps one of them is involved here. Perhaps it is one of the other children who had made a commitment to be born into our family if we'd had more children.
     Man passing with a heart condition - my dad. Massive heart attack. But my dad did not have bushy eye brows. Maybe that is my friend's dad.
     Much of the reading that is not accurate for me IS accurate for a close friend. Especially Carmen, Joan, Nuns, Catholic connection, rosary, family oriented, big gatherings. She has been asked to assist in overseeing the building of a retirement home for nuns. She is VERY connected to her church and beliefs. It is at the center of her life. I rarely go to church - and usually when it is empty. She had been at a crossroads and was asking her mother (Carmen) for a sign to show her that she was moving in the right direction. She was turning down some very lucrative offers because they just did not "feel" right. While she was making several important decisions, I called her to ask her about her mom - because when I read the name "Carmen", I instantly had a flash in my mind of this person. I knew her mom had passed, but I could not remember her name for sure. She and I feel very connected to each other, though we are at different levels of personal success in our lives (she is ahead of me). When I called her to ask her about this, and the nuns and Catholic connection, and the rosary, etc. - these all had great meaning. We both felt her mother was finding a way through Angie to give her the sign she was seeking in a way that could not be shuffled off as too subjective. The timing was incredible. I had not spoken to her for many weeks, and did not know she was asking for a sign or making these decisions. A great hit on Angie's part.
     Spirit Guides helping me: I know my Guides VERY well - have been aware of them since childhood and have had MANY confirmations about them. I am currently working on a book about their lessons. I have learned to listen and to see the evidence of their help in a variety of ways. They certainly make themselves known when necessary. Otherwise, I know they are there for me.
     Elvis and Florida - maybe for my friend. I will check. While I recognize his importance in music and pop culture, I actually can't stand anything Elvis. So, that's not for me. And there is no little girl. My sister also only has boys. Sorry, not a connection I can think of. Again, though, I will check with my friend.
     Rebecca, money is needed here by you and for something important. Do you need to make changes in your home?  I want a rug I cannot afford right now and someone has just given me an expensive gift of a treadmill to help me with my health. I could not have worked that into the budget without her help.

She is on a mother-type link.  We have a very close friend whose mom has serious health issues and is facing an amputation. I don't know though how I could help her. She has a large and loving family. She is not lacking support or money. There is another lady who is like a mom to me - actually one person here in Canada (early 60's) and one in California whom I grew up knowing (78 years). I am not sure who this is.
     Before I say adios, Bob is being called out. Do you understand that name?  I sure do - someone my husband and I consider our brother. We unfortunately became estranged. He is very stubborn and is NEVER wrong, in his mind. This has led to the distance between us. We are forever linked though and I think it is quite appropriate that this would be dashed out at the end of the reading.
