CATE'S READING

I am Angie, Cate, and although all the way over in Suffolk, England, I will try and give you my thoughts on the photograph that Chris has sent me.

Looking at the photograph, I pick up a lady who has a most inquiring mind. Also, I pick up a very forthright personality - you say what you mean and jolly well stick to your 'guns' when you know you are right about an issue.

Your eyes fascinate me, Cate. I saw a lot of wisdom behind them and a lover of the natural world too.

In that heart of yours there is a place which is well hidden from view. It's as if a wrong was done to you a long time ago and the memory gets locked right away from your life now. Also, I do hope you can access this - you had quite a mountain to climb and the boulders hurt.

I feel that healing still needs putting around you or someone very close to you at this time.

You are a scribbler!! A doodler!! And you love to share viewpoints with others and share ideas.

See a traveler here also.

I pick up a lady (maybe you, I don't know) who is a quilt maker?

The name of Robert (Bob?) and another name I saw was Donny? Please accept the above names.

The shape and depth of those eyes of yours, you share with a loved one in Spirit. It's a man I see. He would have sometimes clashed with you over issues and feel I have a father figure here. You were very alike, hence, the clash sometimes.

Where is the picture in a frame of a man and his army pals?

Ann calls out also, and I see a curly coated dark dog somewhere in your life. Who owned the dog? A lady brings the dog in - she had passed with cancer, very close to you.

I also feel I want to keep putting my hands through my hair, especially when working on something that needs concentration. Do you do this?

Cate? Do you know, please, why I am picking up somebody who collects little jugs as a hobby or pastime. I see all sorts of old jugs, pretty jugs, etc.

You love the unusual life and feel that when everything has an answer, life would become very dull for you.

I want October for an anniversary - this could mean passing, birthday or anniversary. Why do I get the 10th October?

There is someone that grows or grew rose bushes. A lady in Spirit is handing me a red rose as a memory of her to you. Please accept it with her love.

I also feel tears too, shed and unshed. If not you, then someone close to you.

I see a teepee with you. Does this come back as a memory? Also, I pick up that a vase was broken on a grave? Hope you can accept this.

Before I finish this reading, I just want to say that no mountain is too high and no heart that is not big enough to take the knocks through life.

God bless you, Cate. I loved your picture.

Cate's Response to Angie's Reading

I think that I have always been known as a person with an opinion. In my younger years, probably that opinion was more apparent, but I think although I have mellowed in expressing my opinions, I don't shout them as much.

Thank you. I do get a lot of comments about my eyes. there is a lot more wisdom there now, not that I am wise, but have been through a lot. And yes, I do love nature and outdoors. I am an earthy kind of spirit.

Yes, I do have some deep (maybe not dark) hidden places. I do have things that I keep to myself.

There was a wrong done to me, not all that long ago. I had a very happy childhood, so this would have to be in reference to my divorce a few years back. I would think that the healing part does apply to me and to my children.

I had to giggle when I read about the scribbling and doodling. I draw for a living. Basically, my love of drawing brought me through to a career in creating drawing plans for buildings. I never really doodled as such, and haven't done any sketches in years, but at one time I did.

Yes! I SO love to travel. I have not done very much in the past decade but I do hope to pick up speed and do more of that now.

I don't have anyone in my family that is a quilt-maker, and know only of someone who works for someone else that I think at one time made quilts. I, on the other hand, crochet small items like baby blankets (also sometimes called baby quilts). I am very crafty with my hands and am never without a 'craft' of some sort beside my sitting chair. I knit, I embroider, I sew, crochet and paint. I just love to keep my hands busy and I love to be creative.

In my family there are no Robert's, or Bob's. My husband has a brother named Bob. We do not really have much interaction with his family. Also, I work in the same business as a man named Bob but he is in another department on another floor. I used to have a friend in my circle of friends named Rob, but I haven't seen him in years (more than 10 at least.)

As for the name Donny (even Danny or Don) I can't think of anyone that has that name. No family, no friends, no co-workers.

Well, most people say that I have my mother's eyes and she, in turn, favoured her father's looks (mom is still on this earth plane.) Her father passed some time ago, and it could be his likeness of eyes that you see. Although, I would have to say that we never clashed.

My father has passed over, but I really do not look like him. My eyes are brown and his were green. I have rounder eyes and his were more narrow. I do feel him around me, and yes, we did at times clash (as most teens do) but he and I were also very close.

So, I'm not sure who this might be.

I have a photo of my grandfather dressed in army fatigues from WW1. It is a sepia coloured photo of him and his older brother. The unique thing is, that they were children at the time that this was taken. I think my grandfather would have been about six. It's a very cute photo. I have this currently packed away, but it's usually on display.

I don't have anyone named Ann in my family, nor my circle of close friends. However, my grandmother, whom I was very close to, was named "Alma" (very close). She passed suddenly from cancer, about 12 years ago. She owned a little white dog with straight hair, but I happen to own a small cocker spaniel that has curly black hair. He is quite old, mind you, but celebrated his 14th birthday on St. Patrick's Day.

YES! YES! I certainly do put my hands through my hair like that!

I have a collection of all kinds of bottles, mason jars and other antique 'junk' type of glass. It's also currently packed away.

Yes, I am probably what you might call a life long student. I love going back to school and taking on new creative tasks and challenges, and finding new adventures.

My father's birthday was the 13th of October. It usually falls on the Canadian celebration weekend of Thanksgiving. We always celebrated his birthday when we all got together for Thanksgiving.

Rose bushes, I have no idea. Now, if you said Peony bushes, I would have you bang on. My great grandmother grew them, and those plants were transplanted to her daughter's (my grandmother's) place, then to my mother's place, and now, I have a bush of my own. I received this last summer. Peony bushes are sometimes called 'Cabbage roses'.

The last couple years have been the harshest I have ever lived through. Many times I cried aloud. I'm certain that is all behind me now.

A teepee? Well, I don't own one, but I do love to camp. We have tent camped for years. I have a dear friend that is native. She doesn't own a teepee, but would like one.

I have no idea about the broken vase on the grave. It's been years since I've been to a graveside. There are no vases where members of my family have been buried. The only thing I can think of is one of our family plots, there was no money for the tombstones, so they used a marker of stones on the perimeter (corners) inscribed with the surname instead of a headstone.

On my father's headstone, it's a flat earth piece. On the stone is a symbol of eastern start which perhaps looks a bit like a vase. The same symbol is on his parents' stones, which he is buried beside.

I know I have come through quite a mountain climb. I believe I hit the summit about New Year's 2005. I'm loving the view and can't wait to get to the gorgeous places I see in my view below!

Thank you. I truly appreciate your time and wisdom. I think you did a wonderful job, simply from looking at my photo. If you are interested in knowing a bit more about me, I would love to share sometime. (I, too, am an intuitive reader albeit I do try to keep that quiet in my 'normal' life here.)
