NATURE
We are now nearing
the end of winter and spring is just around the corner. A time when we see
new life appearing after its death like sleep of winter. This is nature's
way of showing the continuance of life. We go through the seasons during
our incarnation upon the earth, our springtime is when our spirits are
re-born in tiny physical bodies and, like Mother Earth nurtures the new
life within her, our mothers nurture us until we are old enough to take
responsibility for ourselves. This becomes our summertime when we can
branch out and bloom like the flowers.
As the years go
by, our bodies begin to change and we reach the autumn of our lives. This
is the time that the saying, 'The spirit is willing - but the flesh is
weak' is on its way to becoming true. Eventually, it seems that all too
soon we are in the winter of our time here on earth, we have nearly come
full circle and, like in nature, the old must make way for the new.
Ideally this is
how it is meant to be, but due to the actions of some people, natural
disasters, accidents or disease, our physical bodies are rendered useless
and many have to return to the Spirit World prematurely.
There is another
saying, 'We come with nothing and can take nothing away.' Though this is
true regarding material wealth and possessions, what we can take with us
are our memories and the wealth of knowledge which we have gained from our
experiences whilst here, the very purpose that we came here for.
No matter what
uncertainties we come across in our earthly lives, one thing is certain,
that whenever the time comes, we will emerge like butterflies from a
chrysalis, spreading our wings to fly free, back home to the Realms of
Spirit from whence we came, and a joyful reunion with our dear ones who
have gone before. This leaves behind the empty shell which housed our
spirit, the spirit that has served us so well, remaining here on the Earth
Plane where it belongs, becoming ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
Though material
things will eventually perish, all which is of the spirit will continue to
live on. |
