THE WINDMILL
|
The windmill stands upon the hill, |
|
Old, dusty and worn, |
|
No sign now of the miller who worked from dusk 'til dawn. |
|
The crumbly bricks, the rotten wood, |
|
Flour bags on the floor, |
|
Cobwebs at the window and cobwebs at the door. |
|
Silence lingers everywhere, no work to be done, |
|
The stream still flows so quietly, but the wheel
will never turn, |
|
Still beautiful now, though weeds have grown, the Ivy and
the Fern. |
|
The mill awaits a loving hand, its beauty to restore, |
|
To stand proud against the setting sun, |
|
To live again once more. |

LIFE
|
As we watch the world go by, |
|
Things make us laugh - things make us cry, |
|
Beautiful creatures for us to see, |
|
What a wonderful place to be. |
| |
|
Things can happen to open our eyes, |
|
Life can take us by surprise, |
|
Time is wasted as we fight, |
|
As night turns to day, and day to night. |
| |
|
Family and friends are there for you, |
|
Guiding you through the things you do, |
|
Even when they are gone, they are there in your heart, |
|
Nothing in life can ever tear us apart. |
| |
|
So remember next time, when life puts you down, |
|
Don't sit and cry, you wear the crown, |
|
The crown which keeps the life in you, |
|
Your heart of gold which is forever true. |

All I Think of is You
| Sitting alone, I can see you in my mind, |
| Trying to say the words I can never find, |
| When you smile all my problems float away, |
| But then things will never go my way, |
| So all I do is think of you, |
| My love for you is always true. |
| I'll never know how you feel for me, |
| It's breaking my heart I wish you could see, |
| Just a few little words I need you to say, |
| And that is I love you more and more each
day, |
| But I know this can never be true, |
| So all I do is think of you. |
| Tears cascade down my face, |
| You're someone I will and can never replace, |
| You make my heart skip a beat, |
| Your hugs and kisses are all so sweet, |
| While writing these words all I think of is
you, |
| Without my love I'm not sure what I'd do. |

Losing My Best Friend
| My pain comes alive each morning I wake, |
| My lips start to
shiver, my hands start to shake, |
| My eyes swell up and the tears begin to
roll, |
| His perfect life, the devil stole. |
| |
| So tragic that morning when he went away, |
| To never return to my arms that day, |
| Forever now I will be alone, |
| Never together but all on my own. |
| |
| I've lost the only best friend that I ever
had, |
| He told me to move on and never be sad, |
| But it's difficult when you're the one left
behind, |
| That person is forever left on your mind. |
| |
| He said he would be there, forever in my
heart, |
| That's when it happened, my life fell apart, |
| So I have to take each day and love him
forever, |
| But soon my best friend and I will be
together. |
