FEELING THE COMMUNICATION
By Wanda Ramirez
I would like to
share an experience that happened on August 4, 2008 in the home that I
moved into about two years ago. Some "strange" things have happened
here, but not often.
This is what happened on August 4th:
I have two dogs, Max (a Dashound) and Dylan (a
Beagle). Dylan is
the new family member. He's a little bit more than three months old. On
August 4th, I was sitting in the living room and, all of a sudden, Dylan
started barking into thin air. At the same time, he started bowing his
head and moving it from side to side while moving backwards away from
whatever he was looking at. I stood up and went to my desk to get my
digital camera to shoot a picture at the spot Dylan was barking at. To
reach the desk, I had to pass the point of barking. When I did, I felt
this eerie chill, literally the hairs on my skin went up! The funny
thing is I live in the Caribbean. We are in the middle of Summer and the
4th was a hot day like you could never imagine! Yet, I felt cold, really
cold, at that moment.
I went back and sat on the couch. I shot three pictures. Nothing
showed in them. The curious part was when I attempted to shoot the first
picture, my camera "malfunctioned". It wouldn't work. This is a new
Cannon camera which I'd just gotten last Christmas. It has never
malfunctioned before.
During this incident, my other dog, Max, was also staring at the
same spot, but was calm. In the past, Max (he's a much older dog - 6
years old), would also stare and bark at the "air". At other times, he
would just stare intently at a spot where it appeared nothing was
happening.
Other strange things have happened at this place as well.
In early January, on a Sunday night, I was taking out the garbage.
As I walked toward the trash can, I heard the voice of a young man from
the left say, "Ho...la" (Hi). The voice came out of thin air - no one
was there.
A similar experience happened to me one night where I used to live
and where I did most of my EVP recording. I was sitting in front of the
computer, but had no plans of recording that night. It was raining
outside. Again, out of thin air from my left, I heard the voice of a
young girl say, "He...ey". I became overwhelmed with the sensation that
"someone" was actually standing at the spot where the voice came from. I
could "feel" her staring at me. I explained to "her" that I wasn't
recording that night. I "felt" her leave.
Another event happened in my new home around late February or early
March of this year. On a Saturday evening, my daughter and I were
getting ready to watch a DVD movie. I was sitting on the sofa and my
daughter was setting up everything. When she was finished, she headed
for the kitchen to get the popcorn. I asked her if she remembered to
turn down the TV set volume. We were going to watch the movie in
stereo/hi def sound so, with my equipment, you have to turn down the
volume of the TV set and listen through the system's speakers. The TV
remote control was on the loveseat so nobody was touching it. No sooner
had I asked my daughter if she'd turned down the volume, the volume bar
appeared at the bottom of the screen and we watched in amazement as it
went all the way down to 0. We just stared at the TV screen not really
knowing what to say or do. Then, my daughter who happens to have a great
sense of humor, said out loud, "Okay then, just save me some space on
the loveseat for when I come back to watch the movie. Thank you." We
burst into laughter, still a bit confused about what had happened, but
we took it lightheartedly.
Another event took place about three or four months ago. I was
sleeping deeply and heard a loud tapping on my window. I thought I was
dreaming, then I realized the noise woke me up with three loud taps. As
I began to become more awake, I heard it again only quieter - three
taps. Now I was fully awake with my eyes wide open and I realized I
wasn't dreaming. Once again I heard three taps, a bit fainter. Looking
at the clock, I saw it was 3:20 a.m. I said a prayer and went back to
sleep. When I woke up to start my day I was still thinking of what had
happened during the early morning hours. When I went to wake my daughter
for school, she noticed that I was pensive and asked what was the
matter. I hesitated as I wasn't sure I wanted to let her know what I'd
heard. She insisted. I told her what happened and, to my surprise, she
said, "So, you heard it too?" That's when she told me she often hears
noises late at night coming from the living room and, sometimes, from
the dining room as if "someone" were pulling out the dining room table
chairs. At other times, she's heard the kitchen cabinet doors slam.
I also have a porch lamp that is activated by movement. It,
oftentimes, turns on when there is no one passing by, but the sensor
definitely detects movement. If it didn't, it wouldn't turn on.
I do not feel that "whomever" is visiting my home means any harm. I
have not felt a bad vibe when these incidents happen. I do believe that,
whoever they are, does want to communicate with me. I have not recorded
EVP's at my new home though I've been meaning to restart my recording
sessions. This plan has been postponed because, for the last two years,
I've been flooded with personal demands for time - work, home
decor/painting, taking care/helping out my parents at their home, my
daughter's school, etc.
Things are less hectic now that I have finally settled in. I
believe that I might be able to start setting up some time to restart my
recording sessions. I do "feel" their need to communicate. Sometimes,
curiously, when I have been resting in my favorite chair for a while
though not particularly doing anything, I have felt a type of "urge" to
turn on the computer and do a recording session. How do I explain this
better? It is sort of an "ethereal sensation - an intuitive prompting -
to go and do a session.
We are all part of a big learning experience. That is the way I see
it which is why I am sharing my own experiences. Learning each other's
experiences helps to better understand the spiritual and the paranormal.
George Meek wrote in one of his books that the purpose of the "dead" to
contact us is to let us know that life does not end with death. We are
more than flesh and bone - we are energy. Energy has always been, it
cannot be created nor destroyed. It can only be transformed. Those of us
who have taken the step into comprehending the unseen have a duty to
spread knowledge of what we learn.
