TRUE HAUNTED STORY

     A few years ago, my mother lived in a little farm village in Northern Ohio. She rented a big farm house that sat back a curved lane with a big barn up front. After she and my sister and brother were there awhile, she told me about hearing cars come up the lane or lights shining on the house as though a car were coming up the lane but, when they would look out, there would be nothing there. She also told me about the lights and television going off and on. So, trying not to scare her anymore than she already was, I told her to have the owners get an electrician out there to check the wiring.
     Well, my daughter went to visit for a week and, before the week was out, she called us to come and get her as she was scared. The TV and lights would go off and you would actually have to get up and turn them back on. My husband and I drove up to pick her up. While we were there, my mother told us another story that had just happened. My brother had been out when she went to bed and, later, she woke up hearing someone come up the stairs, go into the bathroom and start the water in the tub. Thinking it was my brother, she just rolled over and dozed back off. Hearing another noise, she got up and the bath water was still running. It scared her, thinking he had an accident but, when she went in, the water was just running over the tub and he had not come home. It scared her really bad.
     While we were there, I actually had an experience. We were in bed in the middle room that looked out toward the lane. My husband was already snoring his head off and I saw lights reflect on the room, so I turned toward the window to see who was coming up the lane... no cars!!! I rolled back over with my back to the window and, all of a sudden, an arm came across my waist, snuggling up. The weight of the arm and everything was obvious. No one could have done this because my back was to the window and the wall. I screamed to high heaven and woke up the whole house. Of course, nothing was there, but the funny thing about this was, after everyone calmed down and I calmed down, I wasn't afraid anymore. I didn't feel like it was a mean spirit or meant any harm, but we did not go back to bed that night.
     My mother eventually moved back to our town and I don't know whatever happened with the house. She lived there for about three years and these things happened the whole time they were there.
