My name is Brad Duplechien and I am Director/Founder of Louisiana Spirits Paranormal Investigations. I am 26 years old, married, and the proud father of a beautiful 3 yr old girl. I am employed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and will be graduating soon in Computer Information Systems. I have been interested in the paranormal since I was a kid, however, I never had any substantial paranormal experience that got my interest sparked like other members. In an attempt to search for that definitive evidence, I have formed this great group to conduct scientific and analytical investigations of any and all areas of suspected paranormal activity. In addition, to this wonderful hobby, I am a horror movie fanatic and enjoy cruising on my motorcycle! |

My name is Todd Weaver; along with Brad Duplechien, I am Founder and Director of Louisiana Spirits Paranormal Investigations. I have been drawn to the paranormal field since my first experience when I was in my early teens. I witnessed a "shadow person" moving directly in front of me., completely blocking the light from behind. When I got older, I started investigating the paranormal in early 2001 in Shreveport, Louisiana. I helped establish a small group of investigators who ventured out into local haunted areas and cemeteries. Soon that group disbanded and I was left without a group. I then came in contact with an established group in south Louisiana called South Louisiana Ghost Hunters. I brought a few members that I respected from the old group and I added a north chapter to SLGH. Things went well for a short time, but sadly the founders of the group couldn't keep things together. Brad and I, along with Mark and Brandon, left SLGH to start our own organization. LaSpirits was born! I became founder and director as well as being case manager of the north Louisiana chapter. After only 1 year's time, we have been in countless newspapers, news reports, interviews, and included on a DVD documentary. We are easily the largest and most equipped investigative group in the state and surrounding areas. In the future, I will be moving to Austin, Texas and will be expanding our group into that area. I plan on starting Texas Spirits Paranormal Investigations and building upon what we started. |

Brandon is a 28 year old restaurant manager by day, ghost hunter by night. He is a proud father of 2 wonderful girls and is married to his high school sweetheart. Brandon grew up in a haunted house which led to a lifelong obsession with the paranormal. He started his own small investigative group, but got an opportunity to join a larger group he saw on ghost hunters. Unhappy with the new group, Brandon, as well as three other members (Brad Duplechien, Todd Weaver and Mark Moore), decided to start Louisiana Spirits. |

I am Mark Moore, am 45 years of age, and a motorcycle mechanic. I have been doing paranormal investigations for about 2-1/2 years, knowing my mother had done it when I was a child. I did not get interested in it until a couple of years ago. I have lived in a couple houses known for activity, and had several family members who have experienced the paranormal. I have always wondered during my life why some were able to see, feel, hear or smell things that others could not, including myself. Why do spirits walk the Earth? What keeps them here? Why do some see and others do not? Those are the kind of answers I am interested in. What makes a place haunted? Is it the person who has lived in a place that is upset when others move in and change their home? Could it be a tragic life they have lived? These questions are hard to answer, and one would think could never be answered. I enjoy visiting haunted or known areas with activity, hoping one day to be able to see what others have seen in this area. I find this an interesting hobby, and will keep searching for answers of some of the questions I have for myself. My personal equipment includes: Kodak 5 megapixel and Olympus 2 megapixel cameras, camcorder with nightshot vision, thermal couple thermometer, indoor/outdoor thermometer, 2 audio voice recorders, EMF meter, 4 infra red cameras with 2-200ft and 2-100ft cables, 13 inch tv monitor, quad processor, DVR recorder, flashlights, and lots of other extras to help on investigating. I live in Duson, Louisiana, near Lafayette, and am a proud member of LaSpirits Paranormal Investigations. |

My name is Steve Coleman. I'm 34 years old and currently living in Deville, Louisiana. I'm in the Louisiana National Guard and have been to Afghanistan, Germany, Belize, Honduras, Italy and several other countries. I've been with Louisiana Spirits since it founding a year ago and have loved every minute of it. As for why I joined the group is, without a doubt, my fascination with things paranormal. I think it's the unknown factor that draws me the most to it. Curiosity of the unknown and wanting to learn and understand and help those persons, both alive and dead. |

My name is Raymond Chandler. I am 34 years old and have lived in Louisiana my entire life. I grew up in a small town called Downsville, Louisiana. This is where I graduated from high school. I lived in Hammond, LA for a few years. This is where I started my career as a nurse and, shortly thereafter, I joined the military. Currently, I am married with no children and reside in Albany, Louisiana. We decided on a suburban lifestyle and built a home here about a year ago. I am a small business owner and am still enlisted in the Army National Guard. My hobbies are research into the paranormal and collecting old U.S. Coins and currency. I have a rather large collection of coins and currency, which I have collected over the past 6 years. The oldest dates that I have in my collection go back to the early 1700’s. Since I was about 14 or 15, I have been interested in the paranormal. I have always wondered, where do ghosts, UFO’s, sea creatures, etc. come from and why they are here. I enjoy reading books and watching television programs about the paranormal. I am glad that I found a group like Louisiana Spirits, which I have been a member of for about 8 months now. Now, I can help investigate hauntings and/or ghosts hands on and not just read about it. |

Regina Dennis is a 30-something Slot Technician form Texas that ended up in North Louisiana. Besides her usual hobbies of art/photography, music, travel, antiquing/thrifting, and trying to find a less stressful job, she can be found roaming cemeteries, abandoned buildings, historical areas, and any dirt road she has yet to go down. Having 2 personal paranormal experiences under her belt, she is always seeking the elusive and the unexplained. Hoping one day to actually capture SOMETHING (anything) on film, she carries her camera wherever she goes. When asked, "Why do you do this?" she replies, "Just because I can't SEE it, doesn't mean it isn't there!" Regina perseveres to get that one photo that will prove the existence of the afterlife on this plane... until then, she keeps on looking. |

Vikki Fleming - Professional Photographer. As a child, my grandmother and everyone on my mother's side told stories about seeing ghosts and having things happen they could not explain. My grandmother is not one to tell lies. She is a hard woman. I believed the stories, but as a child, blew it off because playing was first on my mind. I still remember every word of those stories. My grandmother is now 92 years old and can still tell you the stories like it was yesterday. When I was about 8 months pregnant with my second child, I saw my first ghost or shadow person as it was. I could tell it was a man because of the outline. But who, I don't know. The light was on so I could see well in the room. I was laying on the bed and it came to me, put its arms around me, kissed me on the forehead, backed away and then was gone. I felt its arms and hands and the lips when it kissed me like it was a live person. After that, I talked to everyone in my family and got every book I could find to study for answers. Then, I go cameras and video and audio equipment and set out on my own to see if there was something more. I was then given a chance to be a member of Louisiana Spirits and I have been an active member since. |

James Palmer, 28, is from Mansfield, Louisiana. He was a casual member of the LaSpirits public forum on the internet, until one day, he read a post that an opening in LASpirits was available in his area. Determined and excited, he spoke to Todd Weaver of the northern chapter who invited him on a trial investigation in the summer of 2006. James has been on board since. One of the newest members of the team, James has had some very interesting experiences and has learned many valuable things in his first several investigations. He is very eager to help those who call on LASpirits and to learn more about the paranormal in the process. |

Elissa Lehnhardt. I am married to a great guy and we have 2 kids, a 7 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. I have been with LASpirits since the very beginning a year ago and was in SLGH 3 or 4 months before that. I contacted Mark when I moved to LA in 2005, hoping to get involved with a group and learn more about the paranormal. I have been interested in ghosts and the paranormal since I was about 6 and my dad would take me to Gettysburg battlefields looking for spirits. And, we would always stop at old run down houses and he would say, "I wonder if it's haunted." I have read everything I could get my hands on regarding "true" ghost stories, hoping one day to be one of the fortunate ones to "see" a ghost. I have captured a few great EVP's, but am always on the lookout for the ultimate class A EVP. I have been on several investigations. Some very big; Oak Alley (twice) and some very small; Judy's place. In all, I have been on 7 investigations with LASpirits and hope to do even more in the coming year. |

Marti Bordelon Vandagriff, LDN RD CDE - Profession: Nutrition Therapist, specialized in Diabetes... How did I get interested: Owned a house that was built at the turn of the century. Upon remodeling (completely redoing the kitchen, floors and adding central AC/heat) strange things started to happen that involved some of the following situations: doors closing/shutting; hearing people walking up and down the hall, but no one there; dog barking while looking up at ceiling for 30 minutes or longer at a time; and physical shoving/touching. Toward the very last of it, the dog/cat quit eating for exactly one week and the apparition appeared before me. At this point, I sought professional help because I was convinced I had a brain tumor and was probably suffering hallucinations due to the pressure of the tumor (MRI). Nothing there, so had someone come in and "clean" the house so to speak, and immediately my dog/cat started eating again and I suffered no more trouble from the house. This was a turning point because before this, I believe I was a non-believer, sort of. I believed that spirits probably did surround us and try to get in touch with us, but I did not believe in "haunting" so to speak. Now, experiencing this myself for almost 1 year, I can completely understand what someone goes through psychologically. With LASpirits, as we approach situations such as the above, it is important to remember to be a professional in the field and completely research and evaluate every possible scenario/trigger that could be causing such activities in a home or even to an individual (such as myself seeking an MRI and professional medical help). It is imperative to remain professional and resolve the problem as scientifically as possible, but to also realize that after turning every stone, that perhaps there is paranormal activity. Also, regardless of the situation, it is real to the client and they deserve the utmost respect. As a member of LASpirits, professionalism and respect are delivered to each case always. |
