NUMEROLOGY

     This page will take you through learning how to determine your numbers for the core of your personality which consists of your Life Path, Expression, Soul Urge, and Birthday. Of course, there is much more to numerology than this. If you wish to learn more, I have placed a reference later on in this page for books that can take you further in this study.

Life Path: This is considered to be the major lesson to be learned in this life and can be found by finding the sum of the month, day and year of your birth and reducing it to a single digit or master number (11, 22 are never reduced to a single digit).

1) Determine the number of your month of birth.

Mine is October which is the tenth month, so I would take the 10 and drop it to a single digit by separating the numbers. So... 1 + 0 = 1  (If you were born in November, this number would be 11 - do not reduce it to a single digit.)

2) Determine the number for your day of birth.

Mine is 31, so I would reduce this to a single digit by doing 3 + 1 = 4.  (If your day of birth is the 11th or the 22nd, do not reduce to a single digit.)

3) Determine the number of the year you were born.

I was born in 1963, so I would do 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 19. Obviously, this is not a single digit, so I reduce again doing 1 + 9 = 10. Again, no single digit, so do it again with 1 + 0 = 1. (If you come up with 11 or 22, do not reduce these numbers.

4) Add together the numbers you discovered for your month, day and year of birth and reduce them to a single digit or master number.

My month was 1. My day was 4. My year was 1. So, 1 + 4 + 1 = 6.

My LIFE PATH number is "6".

(Again, do not reduce 11 or 22... work with them as they are... example: 11 + 4 + 22 = 37 - Now break 37 down to a single digit. If after adding the numbers of your month, day and year together, you have an 11 or 22, then this is your life path number.)

The Expression: This is a person's potential natural abilities. It is second in importance in the core and is found by finding the sum of all the letters in each name.

You will use the following chart to determine the numbers that correspond with the letters in your name.

1) Using the chart, find the number that corresponds with each letter in your name and write that number below each letter. Ladies use your "maiden name".

2) Add the numbers in each name together and reduce them to a single digit or master number.

3 + 8 + 9 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 9 + 5 + 1 = 47......4 + 7 = 11

4 + 1 + 5 = 10......1 + 0 = 1

1 + 5 + 5 + 1 + 7 = 19......1 + 9 = 10......1 + 0 = 1

3) Add the final numbers from each name together and reduce to a single digit or master number.

11 + 1 + 1 = 13......1 + 3 = 4

My EXPRESSION is "4".

The Soul Urge: This is a person's inner motivation - what he/she wants to be, to have and to do. It is found by finding the sum of the number values of the "vowels" in each name.

You will use the following chart for the value of the vowels. Please pay attention to the rules for w and y.

Y is sometimes  a vowel with a number value of 7. It is a vowel when there is no other vowel in a syllable.  Ex: Yvonne, Sylvia, Larry

Y is a vowel if it is preceded by A, E, I, O, U and sounds as one sound. Ex: Hayden, Doyle, Raymond

W is sometimes a vowel with a value of 5. It's a vowel when it is preceded by A, E, I, O, U and sounds as one sound. Ex: Bradshaw, Matthew, Lowell

1) Put the number value of each vowel above the vowels in your names.

2) Add up the numbers in each name, reduce to a single digit or master number.

1st name: 9 + 9 + 1 = 19......1 + 9 = 10......1 + 0 = 1

Middle name: 1 + 5 = 6

Last name: 1 + 1 + 7 = 9

3) Add the numbers received above together and reduce them to a single digit or master number.

1 + 6 + 9 = 16......1 + 6 = 7

My SOUL URGE is "7".

The Birthday: This is a sub-lesson that is to be learned during this life and is found by reducing the "day" of birth to a single digit or master number. If your birthday falls on a single digit number already, that is your "your birthday number".

1) Write down your birth day and reduce it to a single number or master number.

Birth day: 31......3 + 1 = 4

My BIRTHDAY is "4".
