DO ANIMALS HAVE ESP AND PSYCHIC ABILITIES?
By Sandra Skoda

"Birds are roosting in the trees, there is a storm coming."
"We have the 'Telling of the Bees."
"The Dog Days of Summer."

We have heard these sayings before, but is there any truth to them? It strikes me as strange that for all our technological advancements and our scientific achievements and for all that we have learned about living things, certain questions remain. One of these questions is - can animals think? Even more important is - are they psychic?
Studies and recent news stories reflect that animals are more like us than we think. These stories reveal something else too. Sometimes, our animal friends cross over into the strange realm of the paranormal where almost anything is possible. If we only open our hearts and minds, we may cross over as well.
When the horrific tsunami hit, which devastated Indonesia, thousands of people were killed. Yet, officials noted that there were very few dead animals. Nearly 24 hours before the tsunami hit, scientists noted that the wildlife population had begun to head inland.
There was an incident where a woman was taking pictures of her children riding an elephant and, much to everyone's horror, the elephant ran off with the children still on his back. The children and the woman were terrified. As it turned out, the elephant saved the lives of the children when he somehow sensed the upcoming  tsunami catastrophe.
Living in California, earthquakes and the possibility of them is an accepted part of daily living. However, people here have learned to listen and watch the behavior of their animals.
Usually, on the day an earthquake hits, dog and cat owners notice their pets behaving oddly. Dogs may bark and whine or refuse to go for walks. Cats may race around the house and meow constantly.
I, personally, have experienced this just recently when we had a moderate earthquake. I was sitting on the sofa and one of my cats, Monty, was asleep next to me. Suddenly, he sat up, very alert and tense, and that's when the earthquake hit.

Researchers believe that animals contain a magnetic field that is somehow in tune with the Earth's magnetic pull. Animals have also been able to predict epileptic seizures, diabetic comas, and even, impending heart attacks.
If only we would open our minds to what our natural world is trying to tell us, perhaps we could avoid many disasters and save lives. Perhaps we could learn to depend on our animal friends as they have depended on us. Who knows what world they can lead us to. Perhaps a better one.

HERE ONE MINUTE, GONE THE NEXT continued...

The other two boys were heard shortly after leaving the house. One cried out, "Help!" and the other shouted, "Help! Help! They've got me!" None of these boys were ever seen again.
Just as strange was the disappearance of James Worson in 1873. James made a bet with three of his friends that he could jog 16 miles roundtrip from Leamington Spa, where they lived, to Coventry and back.
James started jogging with all three friends riding along behind him in a cart. He'd gone several miles when, suddenly, he stumbled, pitched forward and disappeared. His friends stopped the cart and leaped out, thinking that the road had somehow given way, but the road was just as it should have been and James was no where to be found.
James' friends went back to Leamington Spa and straight to the police station. They were questioned extensively, but could not add anything to their stories that they had not previously told. It was just as they'd said. James was running in front of them, then he was gone. He was never seen again.
These are only six people in the annals of history whose stories were shared without prejudice. There are certainly many others that could be found in small town local papers if a person was inclined to search. The best evidence of these kinds of disappearances would be found before the newspapers began following specific rules and regulations about how a story could be written.
