DOROTHY
By Angie Christie

My story started a few weeks ago around June 2009. On alternate weekends, my husband Wally and myself, go to our friends home - Margaret and John Broughton - a couple I have mentioned in other stories through the years and, in my book, "Guiding Hands". They are the friends who lost their beloved son, Peter.
This particular Saturday, I was standing and talking to Margaret in her kitchen before supper when I sensed her Mother, Jessie Thomas, standing with us. Jessie often visits us in that room of the house as, in life, she liked nothing more than to don some rubber gloves and wash up the dishes. She has given me much information about Margaret as a little girl which has made my friend laugh. She and her mum were very close and Margaret's childhood was very happy.
Suddenly, I picked up these words: "Dorothy wishes to be remembered and sends her love."
I enquired of Margaret who Dorothy was, but she told me she had never, ever heard of this name in her family. John could not be of any help either. I always tell people that if I get a name and message from the Spirit World, I can never take that message or name back.
Two weeks later, we were again at Margaret's home on a Saturday night when she, suddenly, remembered something and left the kitchen. Hurrying back, she had some old photographs in her hand and asked me if I remembered telling her that 'Dorothy' sent her love and wished to be remembered and that neither herself or John could take the name. Of course I remembered.
A few days previous to this, John had been going through all of his old family photographs when he came upon two and was amazed to see the likeness to their youngest granddaughter, Jasmine. He had never, to his knowledge, set eyes on the two photographs and something made him turn them over.
He could not believe his eyes! On the back of one of the photos was written, "With love, from Dorothy" and, on the back of the other photo was written, "Happy Christmas, from Dorothy". The year was also written down as 1918.
I have included photographs of Dorothy and, also, Jasmine. The likeness is remarkable. We, still, to this day, do not know who Dorothy was, but the photographs were taken way back in 1918 in the town of Trowbridge in Wiltshire, England.
Will they ever find out who this young lady was? We doubt it as most of John's family are now deceased. But, whoever she was, she must have known John would find her. She could, if born in the same eras and not decades apart, be sisters with Jasmine.
I am so very thankful that John decided to turn over the photographs and, I guess he is too.

MY FRIEND, CHARLIE
By Angie Christie

Hello readers - Angie calling. Since being online, I, from time to time, receive stories from people I know and this story is no exception.
Some of you may have seen the American television program (TAPS), The Alantic Paranormal Society, when they visited The Seven Sisters Inn in Ocala, Florida. Since the program aired, sadly, The Seven Sisters had to close its doors. Well, my friend, Charles Childs (affectionately known as Charlie) was manager of The Seven Sisters and was very upset over its closing.
Since The Seven Sisters closed, Charlie had another upset in his life when his cousin, Lucille, passed away from cancer. She and Charlie were very close and Lucille's passing affected him deeply.
I received an email from Charlie and he kindly gave me permission to share this story with the readers of The Night Watchman Chronicles.
Charlie arrived home after several weeks to find the garden/yard needed much work and set about to make it presentable again. Weeding away he, suddenly, noticed an occasional little yellow butterfly flying around him as he worked.
Now, Charlie was not used to seeing just plain yellow butterflies and explained that, normally, they were Swallowtails. As he continued to work, the little yellow butterfly just kept flying around. Charlie worked on his hands and knees until he felt sore and his hands were numb, all the while, he said, the butterfly flitted around 'like an angel in the slight tropical breeze.'
After Charlie went indoors to clean up, he decided to check to see if he had any email. There was one from a Native American friend - a medium called Kayla - who lived in Ocala, Florida.
Charlie explained that this was the very first email from Kayla since he'd arrived home and he was amazed at what she had written. 'Incredible' was the word he chose and I was so amazed myself that I asked his permission to write the story. You see, Lucille had never visited Charlie's home and, as he worked on his garden, he was wishing that she had. He said, "Now, she has."
The email from Kayla has been written here, word for word, and how comforting these words were to Charlie.

KAYLA’S MESSAGE
Dated 6th July, 2009

'Hi Charlie, glad you are home safe. I am 'seeing' Lucille at your home... She sends yellow butterflies... other little hints of her presence... she is soooo free to fly and visit many realms... I think if you ask she may give you a message in your sleep... watch and listen... She is strong in her spirit... not in that weak, ill body. Energy is neither created or destroyed... it just changes form and vibration. Xxoo, Kayla'

I hope that the above true story helps those of us who have lost Loved Ones. It is wonderful knowing that they are still around us, comforting us as we grieve. This message that Charlie received, the little yellow butterfly will have lifted his grief to a new level. Just knowing that his dear Lucille is still around him, I don’t think he will ever forget that little yellow butterfly.
