THE PARANORMAL: WHY I BELIEVE AND WHY I DON'T BELIEVE
By Paul Dale Roberts, Futurologist

Disclaimer: This is the sole opinion of Paul Dale Roberts and does not reflect the ideas, concepts or beliefs or any member of H.P.I. (Haunted and Paranormal Investigations International).
Today I get home and Pika, my Jack Russell Terrier, and HPI (pronounced Hi-Pee), my half Cocker Spaniel/half Yorkshire Terrier, greet me at the door. HPI is known as a 'Corkie' in case you didn't know. HPI has really taken up to me. He starts crying and clinging to my leg. I pick up HPI and tell him I love him. He gives me his sad look and then pees in my face. Yes! This is going to be a good day. I love to get my face washed with puppy pee. It's nice to have my dogs around when a hundred ideas and thoughts are pounding through my head.
One of those thoughts is what is my belief system? Do I actually believe in the paranormal? The answer is yes and the answer is no. The paranormal is merely something that is beyond what we call normalcy. It is something we haven't proven with science.
So ask me, do I believe in ghosts? The answer is yes because I have seen a full bodied apparition and I had a little girl ghost giggle at me and say hi.
Do I believe in UFO's? The answer is yes because I have seen six UFO's in flying formation near Fort Jackson, South Carolina and I saw six satellite photos of UFO's while I was in the U.S. Army's Military Intelligence. The six photos were classified as UFO's with intelligent movement.

Now, ask me if I believe in Bigfoot? Well, I've never seen Bigfoot, so I can't actually say it exists, but hair, skin and blood samples discovered in Canada indicate that an unknown primate roams certain areas of Canada. Now, are the scientists that are making this claim lying or are they telling the truth? Could they have made a mistake?
I can't honestly tell you. To completely say that Bigfoot doesn't exist would be idiocy on my part. How could I say something like that when the Mountain Gorilla wasn't discovered until a century ago by Western explorers and the Okapi wasn't discovered until 1900. Let's throw in the Coelacanth that was discovered on the coast of South Africa in 1938. Why couldn't there be an unknown primate in our back woods?

For that matter, why couldn't a living dinosaur like the Mokele-mbembe live in the Congo of Africa? We haven't explored every single inch of land mass on our planet Earth. There are areas that are so forbidden, it would be impossible to take a scouting team into. I remember how thick the Amazon was when I was in South America. I would never dream of walking into that thick jungle by myself. By the way, if you have never been to a jungle, let me tell you a jungle is very, very noisy. You hear the sounds of a billion insects singing their songs in unison.
Do demons exist? If you believe in the Bible, then demons exist. I have never encountered a demon, yet I get calls from people that believe they have demons in their home.
Case example: A lady called HPI and said she was being terrorized by a demon. Shannon 'Ms Macabre' McCabe and I went to her home to investigate her claims. She calmly told us that an incubus had been repeatedly raping her. She calmly told us this with her legs crossed in a comfortable manner.
As a former M.P. (Military Policeman), I witnessed a rape victim tell her story. Even though her story happened three years prior to our interview, she still showed signs of trauma from the experience and broke down crying. Why wasn't this woman showing signs of trauma after being raped repeatedly by an incubus?

The answer was simple. She wasn't being raped by an incubus and her demon possessed home was an invention from her mind. Of course, this is my opinion. I kept thinking, while I was interviewing her, that if she was raped by an incubus a multitude

of times, how could she maintain her composure and smile while telling the story?
From all the demonic cases that HPI has handled, it all appears to manifest in the minds of the occupants. Again, this is my opinion. So, ask me again. Do I believe in demons? Well, I have never seen a demon, so my answer is no.
The day that Asmodeus makes his appearance and tries to have me trade my soul in for a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, then I will believe in demons. Of course, I will believe in demons and also be driving one hot sportscar! Lloyd Auerbach recently wrote a superb article in which he asks readers... "Just Say No to Demons". Definitely check this link out as Lloyd really lays the smack down on demons!
The paranormal is a pseudo science. I have people at my work who think I am mad. They do not believe in ghosts. They think the TV show 'Ghosthunters' is a joke and they walk around my office with their cell phones, pretending the phones are digital recorders, and say out loud, "Is there anyone here?" I look at them and say, "Come on, guys, give me a break."
Sure, I admit it's funny, but you must understand that NOT ALL people believe in ghosts, just like not all people believe in demons and UFO's. The whole paranormal realm is a pseudo science and skeptics think that ghost hunters and every other paranormal enthusiast is a nut job.

I interview people like Dead Pete who believes he is a zombie. I have interviewed three women who believe they are werewolves. I've interviewed people who think they are vampires. Believing is very powerful. When you believe, perhaps anything is possible.
Do I believe that there is life on other planets? Do I believe in UFO's? Do I believe in ancient astronauts? In the case of UFO's, there has been so much trace evidence left at landing areas that if it were a murder case, we would get a conviction on the trace evidence alone.
As for the Summarians, either they were great science fiction writers or what they wrote on the Summarian clay tablets was the sole truth. We were visited by extraterrestrial beings from the planet Niburu that created the human race for the purpose of being slaves to mine gold. Or the Vedic literature of India that describes Vimanas that will take you place to place, the second Vimana that will take you country to country and the third type that will take you into outerspace.
Again, were these ancient Indians great science fiction writers or were they telling the truth? Were we visited by ancient astronauts that kick started the human race and blessed us with their advanced technology? Did they manipulate the DNA of man so we could live for thousands of years? Did the extraterrestrials nuke Sodom and Gomorrah because the men of these two cities degenerated into sinful animals? Was the Garden of Eden a testing ground for the first humans to see if we would obey and not be rebellious? All I can say from reading the Bible and other ancient writings is that these authors had to be great science fiction writers or they must have been telling the truth.
How can we actually say that we are the only living beings in the universe when there are billions and billions of suns and planets? How can we say that ancient civilizations could never travel the vastness of space when it is theorized that using the collapse system we would be able to propel ourselves from point a in the universe to point b in the universe in the blink of an eye. Call the collapse system a wormhole or call it a stargate. Just because we don't have the means to do it, doesn't mean that an advanced high-tech civilization wouldn't have the means to do it. The gods may have mastered the whole space-time continuum while we're still working on trying to get back to the moon.
The universe is a strange, strange place. If you look at how life began, it still seems 'paranormal' to our greatest scientists. They still can't fully explain it. My philosophy is "I believe what I see. I don't believe what I don't see, but I will keep an open mind."

PARALLEL UNIVERSES

By Toni Elizabeth Sar'h Petrinovich

The weekend workshop had closed splendidly with heart and soul awakenings being dynamically demonstrated by all the participants. My facilitation of the three day process being held at the Aldermarsh Retreat Center on Whidbey Island constituted only one in a series of events I had held there over the years. The proprietor of the Center, Joy, is a very close friend and her staff, indeed the very grounds themselves, nurture all who attend programs hosted in the Marsh House.
As usual, I stayed and slept in the bungalow on Joy's extra bed. The remainder of the participants, including my friend, Marti, who assisted me in putting these workshops together stayed in the larger house in one of the many lovely bedrooms. Again, we were used to this arrangement having worked it out over the years. It was very familiar to us all.
On the Monday following the weekend workshop, I readied myself for breakfast, completing my packing and thinking about the journey home (a lovely 1.5 hour drive). Joy, Marti, and a few others had all agreed that we would eat breakfast together before finishing the cleaning and leaving for the day. As I packed, Joy said, "Honey, why don't you go out to the garden and pick some raspberries for breakfast. The vines are full and they would be so nice on the table.

Before I had a chance to agree, she added, "And, by the way, you know that Indian gentleman that I mentioned coming to Seattle a few weeks ago - well, he's here and I told him you would do a soul reading  for him this afternoon. You can take the ferry over to the Seattle side and I'll give you directions to the guest house he is staying in. Hope you don't mind."
I was used to my dear friend surprising me with adventures and semi-orchestrating life around me. Because of my deep love for her and the ingenious manner in which she schemes to create joy in everyone's life, I acquiesce to her desires. And so it was this time, as well.
"Oh, all right. Let's see - give me a moment here and I'll connect with his soul and then I'll rethink my plans about going home. I can drive back from Seattle instead of from here. What time did you tell him I would be there?"
"About 1:00 p.m. so you will want to get going right after breakfast and catch the ferry. Thanks so much for doing this."
With those words and a new journey ahead, I connected with the soul of my new client and relaxed into going out to the raspberry vines to pick a bowlful for breakfast. I have been doing soul readings for many years and it is very easy for me to connect with a person's soul and let its information fill me for future access. As I picked the raspberries, I was aware that I was "with" this person though my concentration remained on the tiny, red berries peeking out from under their green bower of leaves.
Having filled the bowl to overflowing, I took them to the main house and put them on the kitchen table for breakfast. Joy soon entered, followed by Marti. The remainder of the staff that would be eating with us were already in the kitchen so we sat down to a sumptuous feast of granola, warm muffins from the oven, orange juice and the rich, ripe raspberries that I had picked from Joy's vines.
At the beginning of breakfast, Marti said to me, "Thanks for telling me that you were going out to pick raspberries. It saved me from having to do it."
"I didn't tell you I was picking raspberries," I responded. "I haven't seen you all morning."
"Yes, you did," she replied. "I met you in the hallway outside of Joy's door on the way to pick berries myself. You told me that I didn't need to since you were going to pick them yourself. You were quite clear about it."
I knew that I had not seen Marti in the hallway and yet, if she had been there in my reality, I would not have been able to miss her since the hallway is roughly as wide as one person and we would have literally run into each other.
We mused about this occurrence, looking at it from a couple of different perspectives and realized that we had been living in parallel realities during this interaction. In one universe, I had talked with Marti about picking raspberries. In another universe, I had not.

So, what is this parallel reality that Marti and I experienced? What are parallel realities? Why are we each living in at least one or more at a time? How does this relate to "spirits", "ghosts", "Light Orbs," and all of the many phenomena that "appear" to be outside of our physical "reality"?
Parallel realities are everyday universes in a region of space and time containing matter, galaxies, stars, planets and living beings. You might see this as a duplicate of your own universe with other actions and responses occurring in simultaneous time. The living beings that exist in these universes (you might also want to call them dimensions) are connected with you through the mechanism of non-locality or quantum entanglement.
