OPENING OUR EYES

By Christina M. Schumacher

While I was taking a look at online news, I came across a story concerning the earthquake that took place in Southwest China, taking the lives of, approximately, 50,000 or more people. This story, which concerned the earthquake but took a nasty turn, was almost too much for me to swallow.
The gist of what I read stated that China was blaming the United States for the earthquake. Normally, I would have rolled my eyes at this and moved onto another news story, however, something prompted me to continue reading.
The article stated that China has already been to the United Nations to make them aware that they are planning their revenge. It won't be in military strategy but to hit our economy in such a way that it will really hurt us.
So, what would prompt such an action? It seems, from what I read and also a YouTube video I watched afterward, that clouds are the clue in this particular situation. These clouds are apparently extremely odd and colorful, showing up shortly before the earthquake began. Similar to Northern Lights, these clouds only appear when there is a disturbance in the ionosphere. A number of Chinese citizens videoed these clouds shortly before the earthquake.
As I continued watching the YouTube video, I learned about a facility in Alaska called HAARP that has the ability to change the ionosphere. Interestingly, this was the first I had ever heard of the place which is amazing considering the damage it could do to ourselves and other countries.
Dr. Brooks Agnew, whom we've interviewed on The Night Watchman several times, and Nick Beget whom we know through Richard Alan Miller, both had their say on the video and created a very intense picture.
My plan for this article was not to get into what the video shares so much as my own thinking concerning the way things are going, but I do urge you to watch the video after reading this article. You can find Part 1 on our news page in the left column labeled "important". We couldn't find part two, but part one will give you plenty to ponder. The picture on the right is a shot of HAARP.
Now, here's the thing. Let's say that HAARP and those behind it are responsible for the earthquake in China that killed so many innocent people. Why is it the American people who are to blame or who are made to suffer? We all know that governments (our own and other country governments) all do things on the sly - hidden behind the words "classified". All government leaders know that there are many, many things that are going on that the citizens aren't even aware of. Most of us are too busy trying to make ends meet to have time to dig into all the trouble the government is creating on their own.

Despite this, whenever there is an event, the government leaders - no matter what country - blame the "country" in general. The government officials don't worry too heavily as they have everything they need right down to a nuclear bomb shelter should things get out of hand. It's the innocent people - us - in these countries who end up taking the brunt of the power struggle and testosterone battles of these leaders.
I've always thought that the best thing that could be done is to put all these leaders in a location all together and let them duke it out whatever way they see fit. After all, everything that happens they cause, so why not let them do battle together? Do you ever see any of the members of Congress or the so-called President going to war? Of course not. Other people are expendable, yet those who created the war are sitting back, living high off the hog, and enjoying the power they have.
Oh yes, they are very tricky. They create a scenario that seems so dire (911) and make it appear that only THEY have the solution to the problem. In our case, the American people practically beg the government to take steps to keep them safe because we've been brainwashed enough to think that we can't take care of ourselves.
The truth is, it seems we can't since all of our civil liberties have been removed such as the right to bear arms. Hate toward anything considered "different" is encouraged causing ridiculous lawsuits to remove even more of our liberties. Anyone who has a beef against anyone else can sue and there are some absolutely insane things that people are suing for just because they want to have power. It's an illusion, of course. No one has power, but it gives them a momentary high that makes them think if they could win THAT battle then ANYTHING is possible.
The saying, "Live and let live" no longer exists. Our governments create chaos and the

A MESSAGE FROM ANGIE

By Angie Christie

As I have not written lately to you via The Night Watchman, I decided it's about time I did!
We all, at one time, if we're pet lovers, lose a precious friend from the animal world. This can be a very traumatic time and, if you are like me, losing two in the space of two years, it's a double upset.
If you go to Photos on the Night Watchman homepage, then Loved Ones, you can see the two dear friends that I am missing very much. The first one to pass after almost sixteen years was Khan, a very, very psychic chocolate point Siamese. The second was our beloved German Shepherd called Saxon.
Once gone, the memories come flooding back, don't they? I can be standing in my kitchen cutting meat or cheese and still find myself looking through our opaque glass door to the kitchen expecting to see a rather large head and, just in front of that, a little cat's head. Both hoping that I will open the door and share out "the spoils" that I don't want.

Another thing I miss about Khan is when I have finished my breakfast. I used to feel a gentle paw patting my leg for me to pick him up. Once he had achieved this, he would snuggle down by my head with his paw behind my neck. His fur was so soft it was like cotton wool.
If I felt down for any reason, Saxon, the German Shepherd would pick this up, lay his head on my lap and gaze up at me as if to say, "It's okay. We can work it out."

Memories that will never fade. I know you all out there have memories too - very personal memories that mean so much.
A few weeks ago, I went into the bedroom to watch a film. It was a Saturday. Wally, my husband, was sitting in the lounge reading. Suddenly, he told me he had seen something out of the corner of his eye. He looked toward one of our windows where he'd seen movement and there, walking toward my computer from the sideboard under the window through the archway where I am sitting now, was Khan, our Siamese. Wally could not believe his eyes. Khan looked just as he had in life - solid.
I still wonder, why I was not there too to witness such a wonderful sight? How I would have loved to see my beloved cat again. Maybe I will one day when I am least expecting it.
Loved ones who pass are missed so much too and I know many, many of you would love to see them once again. I get letters from you on this subject that I try to answer and explain on my Questions & Answers page.
