The photos presented here are lovingly shared with you from people who have lost those close to them and wish to let you know that their loved ones, and yours, are still with them - even after death. Please honor these caring people, in return, by viewing their photos and sharing their most precious moments.

The Night Watchman and I  (Christina M. Schumacher) lost our beloved friend, Ashes, on October 13, 2011. She was 16 years old and gave the family the best she could possibly give in the way of unconditional love and companionship throughout her lifetime. Ashes helped raise four children and shared a home, at one time, with  four grandchildren as well, always showing great tolerance and affection. We miss her greatly and though we know she is still here in spirit, her loss has left a huge gap in our lives. We love you, Ashes!

With great sadness we lost our sweet Maya tonight,  December 27th, 2011, not long after midnight. She is no doubt with Ming and thankfully no longer in any distress. She was our dear companion for 18 years and insisted on having a little bed next to where I work at my desk every day. We chose her all those years ago because she was the only one of all her brothers and sisters who was apart, sitting quietly on a pillow. She was amazingly funny and loved surprising Ming by sitting on her head. When I had a migraine, she would come and lay over my head with her paws on my face. She loved to sit on Adam's chest at night and was the first to greet him with her unique voice when he came home from school. Thanks to Adam's wonderful photography, we have many moments of her life in pictures. We were so lucky that she chose us for her family. Thank you for reading. Beck, Scott, and Adam
