Interview with Medium/Visionary

Question #1: Kathe, you are a practicing medium/clairvoyant. Could you tell us what your work entails and how long you have been reading for others?

I have been reading for others for 25 years. I am a Medium/Visionary, practicing in the field of Theta Healing, as I am a medical intuitive, Medium ship, and life path directions - past, present and future. I am third generation clairvoyant - my mother is still alive at 86 and does not practice anymore. My readings are over the phone or in person. Either way, they have the same effect.

My client base is made up of people who have a desire to connect with their loved ones on the other side, clients who need to understand their past, present and future, and clients who need a medical visionary with healing. I do not work with Tarot or occult overtones. I claim the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit and deliver as such.

I am 55 years old and have left my professional life as a college instructor and EMT-I for our city for a life of helping others. I am a widow from the age of 30 and have raised four boys now ages 21 through 28 (see photo above).

I enjoy all aspects of this service. I have a soft touch for teens in trouble with occult, abandonment, and loss of life direction. I have been known to dabble in Ghost busting, missing children and lost earthly souls.

Question #2: Can you give our readers a brief description of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit and how each of these gifts is directed through you to help others?

They are properly termed "gifts of the Holy Spirit" because the Holy Spirit bestows them. Therefore, they are supernatural gifts operating in a supernatural mode or manner. These are not gifts one simply invokes in times of emergency, rather, these gifts are present to the person as long as he remains in a state of sanctifying grace. Sanctifying grace is the realm I choose to work with my clients. I find this to be the utmost respect for my client as we deal with their life issues. Please understand that this information is coming from how I function living my life here on earth and honoring God. A true psychic is here on earth for the glory and honor of God. You may also choose to use "High Power, Source, or the Divine." That is what is beautiful about life; each of us has something to share.

Traditionally, the seven gifts are listed as fear of the Lord; piety; knowledge; understanding; counsel; wisdom and fortitude.

The idea here is that these gifts help a person to share in the very life and nature of God, now in this life and for eternal life. Claiming the gifts of the Holy Spirit complete and perfect the virtues of those who receive them. How would God want me to handle my clients?

THE GIFT OF FEAR OF THE LORD enables the person "to avoid sin and attachment to created things out of reverence and love of God."

As a standard in which I hold myself accountable, this allows me to deal with each individual that comes to me through the eyes of the Lord and his compassion which I seek to use all things wisely, and in moderation, and not in excess. This allows me to conduct a balanced reading for my clients and genuine guidelines for their care and emotional well being.

WITH THE GIFT OF FEAR, THE PERSON RISES TO THE GIFT OF PIETY: "to give worship to God precisely as our Father and to relate with all people as children of the same Father." The Gift of Piety keeps me anchored in knowledge that we are all created equally no matter what our past, present or future holds for us. This allows me a level of commitment to all my clients no matter what their needs are, regardless of their background, or their journey here on earth. As such, the Gift of Piety perfects the virtue of justice, allowing me to fulfill my obligations to God and neighbor; I am not only motivated by the requirements of strict justice, but also by the loving relationship I share with my client. We are all part of the whole.

KNOWLEDGE is the gift that enables a person "to judge rightly concerning the truths of faith in accordance with their proper causes and the principles of revealed truth." This allows me to bring information into a client reading, and have the discernment to understand its meaning. This gift produces an effect which has great value for sanctification of the soul; introspection, enabling the client to see the state of their soul. It is important for my client to understand the state of his or her own soul. This is my developed teaching tool that allows the client to leave my presence and have a concrete direction for what to do next. To gift a client with guided knowledge is to allow them to heal themselves. I am a teacher of the soul; a good teacher, therefore, teaches and refuses to cripple students into returning again and again for what they need. I lovingly encourage them to leave with enough formulated knowledge to continue forward on their own. It is their choice, then, to return if they so desire.

UNDERSTANDING is a gift "to give a deeper insight and penetration of divine truths held by faith." The essential quality of this gift is a "penetrating intuition" - in a sense, the moving beyond the surface. As a medium, I need to rely on my defined intuition for I have to evaluate and examine, with great caution, the information that comes to me for a client from the world beyond. This is extremely important for all involved and I refuse to give anything less than complete truth and integrity to all I meet when dealing with grief and loss. These are tools that I use over and over to handle my clients with the utmost respect, care, and love as I possibly can. It is of great importance to me to be accountable for my spoken words when dealing with all of my clients.

THE GIFT OF COUNSEL is "to render the individual docile and receptive to the counsel of what I offer my clients as facts and knowledge for their situation regarding their passed loved ones." It is the ability to help my client understand the information that gently comes from the other side, why it comes, and how it can encourage us into understanding more about life after death. Enthusiastic for knowledge from their passed loved ones, this inspires my clients to understand why their loved ones departed, how they function on the other side, and how clients can use their wonderful information to heal their grief. Primarily, this gift enables me to judge individual information during a reading as good and ought to be done or as unimportant and ought to be avoided.

WITH THE GIFT OF FORTITUDE, I, being a medium, can "overcome difficulties or endure pain and suffering with the strength and power infused by God." As with the other gifts, fortitude operates under the impulse of the Holy Spirit, and gives strength to me to resist evil and persevere to everlasting life. This is my commitment to self, to observe and protect my spirit with the strength and power of God. Determined to move forward in my life of healing and teaching, I continue to ask for God's protection and guidance. Lastly, the Gift of Fortitude enables me to live the other virtues heroically, to suffer with patience and joy, to overcome all lukewarmness in the service of God. I am here to serve God as I dedicate my life and gifts to helping others. Truly, there are times this is not an easy path, but necessary for who I am.

THE LAST OF THE SEVEN GIFTS IS THAT OF WISDOM: "to judge and order all things in accordance with divine norms and with a connaturally that flows from loving union with God." While this gift contemplates the divine, it is also a practical wisdom. It applies God's ideas to judge both created and divine matter. Consequently, it also directs human acts according to the divine. This gift has great effects. With this gift, I will see and evaluate all things - joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain, success and failure - from God's point of view, and accept them with equanimity. With Wisdom, all things, even the worst, are seen as having a supernatural value. Everything has its place. As a medium - clairvoyant, this allows me to view all messages with importance. Basically, this allows heavenly guidance for all my clients using my wisdom to listen and discern every detail that comes through for them. Therefore, I leave nothing of doubt. This leaves me victorious and satisfied that I have given my best to all I meet, with love, honor and respect.

Question #3:  In your 25 years of reading, have you noticed any kind of trend as to the types of questions people come to you with? Are there times when a person has a specific question and the answer that comes to them through you has, seemingly, absolutely nothing to do with what they asked, but it is really what they need to know at that point?

The mystery of life is that we are created as individuals, but courageously, we are part of a larger universal plan - we are all part of the whole. We are lovingly connected to one another through the Divine as we live our earthly lives separately. There are no exceptions as everyone moves through their own 'trials and errors', searching for what is right for them. Therefore, it is amazing that, as individuals, we most often bring the same agenda of questions to a reading.

Worried and frustrated, at times, regarding their deceased loved ones, common client questions revolve around the need to know if their loved ones are safe, if they reunited with other passed loved ones, is their health restored, did they suffer at the moment of death and, most important, are they aware they are loved and missed. I have found the dearly departed are very gracious with compassion and love for their earthly family and friends, as often, all questions are answered.

The bonus comes in when the departed make reference to what is going on in the "now" for their loved ones on earth. Spirits genuinely give an outpouring of advice and instructions for the living. There are great joyous moments when the client receives a message from beyond that enables them to realize their loved one is near as they are aware of our earthly life and they are still concerned for us. At that very moment, our departed loved ones are giving us what we really need at that point, regardless of our questions.

The most common communication passed spirits initiate immediately, is to eagerly encourage their loved ones a peaceful movement forward. Secondly, to relieve us from guilt that grief brings forth while we remain connected to our loss. By offering hope and courage to continue on without them, the lessons from passed spirits contribute and play a bigger role in healing the people they have left behind. It is amazing how the deceased guide the living to heal through sight, sound and smell.

Curious are the living to connect to their passed loved ones. The questions are often the same in nature. However, the answers, brilliantly conveyed by the departed, deliver healing, joy, kindness and love. This, in turn, allows us to grieve, live in peace, and have a better understanding of life after death if we so choose.

Question #4:  There are many, I'm sure, coming to you looking for answers on many different aspects of life and death. There are also those who seek answers but are hesitant to actually believe what they are given. Then, there are those who just want to "test" the psychic abilities of someone who does readings. Can you tell which kind of client you have when they come to you? Do you find that most of the people that come to you are "ready" to receive the information given and that they have been guided to you for that information?

Beautiful are the departed loved ones who are poised waiting for the exact moment a connection between heaven and earth is established. Energy shoots like a mammoth beacon from a medium, jetting off toward the sky with innocence, lighting a path as earthly love connects with the heavens in search of answers regarding their passed loved ones. Not only can a medium evaluate a client's readiness and reasons for seeking that connection, but enthusiastic spirits that sparkle the heavens, interpret what is about to transpire regarding their friends and family on earth, and why they seek communication from beyond.

Average is the client that brings to my table a realm of feelings and concerns regarding their reading. Influenced by humanness, clients at times, are frightened to make a connection with heaven. They are concerned about what they might hear. Vulnerable and inexperienced, a first time client needs love and direction as they understand what information is brought forth during the time they spend with me. A genuine relationship of trust has to be established between client and clairvoyant.

Symptoms of humanness during a reading start with a disbelief of information given, including a lack of response to information passed from spirit to client. This is usually followed up with a colorful barrage of tests. Through my experiences, the client that conducts themselves in this manner is most inquisitive, yet fear based. Yearning to know and receive answers from beyond, yet fearful of the answers.

Determined and enthusiastic about my life's work of medium ship and clairvoyance, I treasure these moments with clients to make their experience with me life altering. Clients that distance themselves from their reading and question a connection to their loved ones basically do not understand the effect this has on spirit to come through for them. Thoughtless as it sounds, but equal to communication here on earth, if someone does not want to listen, we are certainly not going to talk, whether alive or passed. That is why it is important to educate a client as to how the other side functions.

Several things I know for sure, everyone I meet holds a universal reason as to why they came to me. Whether the message is for them or for me, we both benefit. When a person is willing and "ready" to contact the deceased, the willingness alone makes it happen in such a wonderful manner that it is life altering. It is surely exciting to learn from the deceased they never stop educating us even from beyond.

I also know the more a client opens up to the unknown, the more information will be waiting for them. The most important thing to ask yourself before you venture out seeking the insights of a medium - clairvoyant would be, are you truly ready and open to what a clairvoyant has to offer you? Because, when the timing is right, the door opens wide and a wonderment of the universe becomes yours for the asking because this is how much God loves us. The Divine wants our souls to live in peace.

Question #5:  All psychic abilities require patience and practice and there is certainly change and growth. Over the years, what do you feel has been your biggest challenge in working with your abilities and how have you dealt with this challenge?

Amazing as it is, the moments in life that we feel we are challenged with our abilities, you might as well concede to the lesson you are about to learn as it is definitely divinely guided for our benefit as well as our clients. After evaluating what has been the greatest challenge managing my abilities, I would, without a doubt, admit to becoming emotionally crippled in my soul when I meet a parent or parents who have lost their child.

Encountering the impossible pain of losing a child in another human being always brings to the surface the worst pain I harbor for the sudden death of my own child. Identified as one of the earth's trauma's, with immense pain for parents, this experience of connecting passed over children to their parents is my biggest challenge. Experiencing my own loss allows me the empathy so desperately needed for care, love, support and understanding to the parents left behind. A parent should never outlive their child, no matter what age, and it never seems right.

Working with my biggest challenge allows me to heal from the inside out, at every moment, my time with my client heals both of us. In turn, the gift I receive, is the change and growth of inner peace that persuades my deepest soul to move calmly beyond my grief. Connecting passed children with their earthly parents allows this same movement. For them, a healing of their traumatized soul is just the beginning.

Loss of a child is certainly my biggest challenge through the years. Elated with tears as I witness that moment a child steps out of the brightest light of God and touches the soul of their surviving parent, bringing with them the miracle of hope that heaven is like the wind - just because you don't see it, does not mean it does not exist. A touch of love, a memory, a moment reuniting parent with child leaves music of faith that resonates forever in the soul of a parent and their loss. As the residue of their experience vibrates in my soul, once again I am challenged, and once again, I am healed.
