Just My Thoughts continued... | ||||

I was told that I would be hearing from Human Services, but I never did. The point here is that if someone didn't need power and control, then my taking my daughter's temperature would not be an issue... just as in the case of Emily Rose. No one would have paid attention to what was happening to Emily Rose had she not died. It was because she died that the blame had to be laid somewhere because it had to appear that the law was doing its job, so the best place to lay the blame was on the only person who even truly attempted to believe her and help her. Isn't that the way of the world? When it comes to the subject of possession or any other subject concerning the unknown, is it actually possible to ever prove? My belief is that the answer is no because people won't even believe what they see with their own eyes or hear with their own ears. Consider our website and the many other paranormal websites out there that have multitudes of pictures of Orbs, Ectoplasms, Apparitions, etc. and just as many EVP's. Many of these photos and recordings were taken at places that are purported to be haunted and many of them just appeared when someone was snapping a photo randomly and not actually investigating. Maybe it was a birthday party or a family vacation. With thousands upon thousands of photos with Orbs, you will still have people say "Oh, it's just a problem with the camera" or "It's a reflection of the light" or "There has to be some kind of logical explanation." Sometimes, they are correct and a logical explanation can be found, but what about those times when a logical explanation just isn't there? Do you hear these same people say, "Wow, I guess I can't explain it and it really must be an Orb"? Chances are, most will not. Just last night, I asked The Night Watchman how much evidence was required to prove something. I was specifically talking about such things as Orbs, Ectoplasms, etc. His response, which I thought was a very good one, was maybe we should ask those who are skeptics to tell us what kind of proof they would need. Obviously, seeing with our own eyes isn't convincing enough because there is definitely no lack of visual evidence. I also told him that we all seem to be stuck. We continue to gather evidence in photos, on video, in recordings, etc., but it never goes any further than that. I used medical research to explain my point. There have been multitudes of different diseases in our world - each one unknown and unrecognized when it first rears its ugly head. However, much research eventually has allowed the medical researchers to identify (and give a name to) the disease and find ways of dealing with that disease whether it's an antibiotic or other kind of treatment. |
My point was, that if they had spent years and years and years studying photographs of a sick person, but never stepping forward to look at blood under a microscope, they would never have gotten anywhere. The truth is, we are not moving forward in the paranormal research as we should be. With thousands of people investigating, taking photo after photo, recording after recording, we have enough evidence to last a lifetime, but now what? The Night Watchman brought up a very valid point that we cannot reproduce the photo or recording as a germ from a disease can be reproduced. He is absolutely 100% correct. We cannot go back to a location where we've caught an anomaly on film and be guaranteed to catch the same anomaly just because we stand in the same spot or have the same people with us. Knowing this, how else can we start moving forward? The Night Watchman and I have begun our own type of research in an attempt to move forward. We cannot share at this time, but it won't be long before we do. For now, suffice it to say, it will still involve photos and recordings, but our hope is that it will take things one step further in the investigation of the paranormal. Truly, what kind of proof do we need? If, as in the true story of Emily Rose, we saw a picture of her distorting her body in ways that weren't possible or heard a recording of a voice coming out of her that her own voice box couldn't possibly make AND speaking in a language that no one could recognize... Would we believe the medical profession when they say that it IS possible for her to speak in a voice like this under certain circumstances (if so, why in an age old language?), or that an epileptic seizure can cause her to distort in those ways even though it would normally break a bone? I know that if it were my child and my child began speaking in an impossible voice, speaking a language I did not understand, swearing and saying horrible things that I know they would be ashamed and embarrassed to say ordinarily, contorting in ways that were impossible without breaking a bone, and taking on the appearance physically of something quite disgusting, it wouldn't be the medical profession I would go to. I'd find myself a Shaman or Medicine Man from another culture to help because they have the ability to believe in something other than drugs and mental facilities. There is no denying that the medical community has made huge strides in the way of health with surgeries that save lives on a regular basis and antibiotics that can ease our discomforts, but if they can believe in all of that, then why can they not believe in "the possibility" of possession or that drugs and tests are not always the answer? |
To make a small point, though these medical professionals may have seen the germ they are treating in medical school through a microscope once or twice, how do they know after only a few times that the germ really exists? Because they've seen it with their own eyes? Obviously, seeing and hearing is not always believing. Especially when the mind of certain individuals has only one track. If we all were able to open our minds to what might at first seem to be "extreme" ideas, we might eventually come to conclusions that aren't so extreme after all. Why is it so hard to believe that an Orb is a spirit being or an alien being? Why is it so hard to believe that a demon or other spirit being can possess a living person? Why is it so impossible to believe that an EVP is the voice of a spirit being or alien being? Why is it so hard to believe that some people can communicate beyond the veil? Some might argue religion, but the Bible has much in the way of ghosts, demons, possession and hearing voices of angels. In truth, no one belief in anything is truly the only belief. We all choose what fits into our own lives as the best belief and there is nothing wrong with that. It's when that belief that we've chosen makes it impossible to consider other possibilities and can, and sometimes does, cause loss of life or freedom. When does the PERSON, such as in the case of Emily Rose, take precedence over pride, image, and proving right or wrong? The medical profession and the church spent so much time fighting over who was right that eventually Emily Rose was lost completely. No one really listened to her even though she was the one experiencing the horrors within. No one - except one man who was willing to take the chance that Emily Rose was understanding what was going on inside of her, and that person, in the end, worked alone to try to save her using an age old form of exorcism once condoned by the church. That person, in the end, was put on trial for murder. Possession, spirits, demons, angels, etc., have been written about for thousands of years and were, in many civilizations (and still are in some) just the way it was - they were a part of life. Amazing how suddenly we know it all and find it impossible to consider even the slightest possibility of something else, even if it might save a life. From a personal standpoint, I would prefer to go back to seeing with the eyes of a child. THAT's when it was easy to accept the impossible and believe in all that could be. God Bless the Children!!!
