Chillingham Castle ~ England

A FEW OBSERVATIONS

OLLIE

In the Great Hall I felt the presence of a woman of some standing, a regal lady dressed in clothing from the Tudor period. She was in her 30's with dark hair. I think she returns here often and is almost certainly seen in visitation. (When this was mentioned to Rob, he mentioned the name Mary Birkley and that she was a Baroness and a regular visitor who from time to time puts in an appearance.)

When I was on the balcony leading from the Chapel, I was overcome by a sense of melancholia mixed with some urgency. I felt the presence of a woman who was searching for a child. I took the time period to be possibly late 18th century, but I can't be sure. This female was in her 40's, tall and slim and very unhappy. Again, I asked Rob and he confirmed a lady, by the name of Judith, is often seen on the balcony in a state of anguish.

Sitting in the Chapel with Linda, I felt lost and cut off. I sensed a lot of unhappy children in there, wandering around in search of something, possibly their parents. Rob told me that, in the past, children had been brought in here before being taken to a window to watch their parents be thrown on the pyres to be burned alive. I noticed that Linda was also upset and had tears in her eyes. I think this room, along with its atmosphere, is so sad when it should be a place of rejoicing.

WARDY

Wardy is a loner and known for spending night vigils in dark locations ~ cellars being a particular specialty of his. About four in the morning, he was mooching about in the torture room. From all accounts, he raced out of there, tripped over and collided with Dave. When asked "What's up?", Wardy told him, "I have just been threatened by a large menacing black shadow with red eyes. It came rushing at me at speed and in a threatening manner. So I was off out of there and, whatever it was, I know I can run faster than it."

When questioned further about it, Wardy had run into a shadow figure in the small holding cell earlier on in the evening. I have never seen Wardy unnerved, but I can tell you something had shocked him, and in no way would he go back into the torture room or the small holding cell again on his own.

BERNI AND DENISE

We had just come back from the Grey Room and were walking along the courtyard to go to the kitchen when we both heard the sound of dogs growling. This stopped us in our tracks because we thought that we were going to get attacked by some guard dog, but there just wasn't a dog to be seen anywhere. I mentioned this to Rob in the kitchen and he told us that this often happens and that it had happened to him on a number of occasions.

In the King Edward room, I also saw shadows walk along the balcony and a strange oblong~shaped light shoot up from the floor and head toward the high ceiling. I tried to catch Denise's attention but it was all over in a flash ~ no pun intended.

LINDA

When I was in the courtyard, I just wanted to cry. I can't explain it. I am not usually so affected, but I think I was caught up in some emotion from the castle's past. In the King Edward Room, I was with some of the crew and was calling out asking for a response from the Spirits when, suddenly, the DVD player and television shut themselves down completely. Steve went to investigate but came back scratching his head ~ he couldn't figure it out at all. Then, as quickly as they went off, they came back on again. I tell you, those few minutes seemed like forever and I was very scared.

STEVE

Berni asked me to stay back with him in the King Edward Room and wait for something, I can't remember what. It was so dark and I sat down in a high backed chair feeling all powerful and King~like. I felt a stabbing feeling in my neck and went ice cold. I thought, I am dying here. Then, from one extreme to another, I went very warm and felt I had a hot white glow around my head. I recall Berni asking if I was alright and him saying it might be wise to leave here for safety's sake.

I remember going into the old Chapel with him when a book off of one of the shelves and split in two on the floor with a thud. The book was called "Paradox."

TOM AND ROSE

These two members of the group monitor the equipment, cameras and stuff like that. From the hive, they monitored a lot of Orb activity in some of the rooms. They were trying out some new night vision cameras and were in their element. They caught a lot of Orb activity throughout the night.

GREG

In the Chapel I felt what I took to be a child presence gently pushing me toward the lectern. I also experienced some sadness where this child was concerned. I did not see him or her but I just knew that they were children. Does that make sense? In the King Edward Room, during a séance,  I felt something bad stood behind me and it made my flesh creep ~ I came out in goose bumps.

SARAH

I was crossing over the courtyard in the early hours when I saw the figure of a lady watching me from an upstairs window. I waved, but she ignored me. I saw her in an old part of the castle. It could have been a ghost or a guest, I don't know, but it did seem strange for her to be there.

In the King Edward Room, I fell to my knees, bowed my head and assumed the position of a beheading or some other form of abuse. I can tell you I was really affected there. I later learned that a lot of women and children were terribly violated in that room before being murdered. Rob told us that some women are greatly affected by this room and have even had one or two cases of possession. We decided on a séance on the strength of this information.
