Angie's Angel

This true story happened to me in the middle of November, 1994. As you know, I am English and live in the beautiful countryside of Suffolk, East Anglia, England. I must also mention here that around the Park where we live is a very ancient mere, known as Cornard Mere, which has been around for hundreds of years. In 1994, before the conservation began, it was a beautiful walk. Wild mint, paths to walk our dog, numerous butterflies. A few days previous to my story, our family lost a wonderful friend and Godmother to our granddaughter Abigail. She was only 62 and was dogged with bad health for some years. She adored Abbie. I will never forget Eva, who always swore to me that we had been together in other lives. This I believed after some of the things she told me. Her mediumship and good sense I will never, ever forget. Did she know she had little time left on this side of life? I believe she did because she came to a Sunday Service in Colchester, Essex that I took and this was before November. I laughed as she placed in my hands, bags containing Christmas presents she had bought for Abbie and myself. I received a phone call from Fred, her husband, one Tuesday morning that Eva had passed, and although, as a medium, knowing that she would still be around us all, I cried and cried. Her physical presence, the phone chats, and knowing that Abbie had lost a wonderful Godmother was too much to bear. Eva died on Armistice Day, 11th November, 1994. Our special day when the poppies fall. Four days later, I took my German Shepherd puppy, Saxon, for a walk in the Mere. Suddenly, I decided for some reason, to take a path which, at the time, I thought was the usual one. It wasn't, and to my horror, I started to sink down into the mire caused by root of a felled tree. My back is not 100%, so I had to grab onto a root. The weather was very foggy, and the more I tried to extricate my boot, the further down my leg went. I was very frightened and panicky as I knew I was in the "middle of nowhere." Not far from the Park, but realized the fog would not carry my voice. I screamed and screamed for over one hour and shouted and shouted for Eva to help me from Spirit. "Eva, help me, get help." I was also very frightened for Saxon and unleashed him. He was wonderful. He did not leave me, but danced around me all the time. I remember also asking Saxon to find "Uncle Joe", and elderly man who lived on the edge of the Mere, but Saxon did not understand. He was only four months old. After I had almost had no voice left, I heard a man shouting, "It's all right. I am coming." I burst into tears. Suddenly, a very black scruffy looking dog appeared and an angel in an anorak, aged roughly in his fifties. It took "my angel" over ten minutes to pull me out. My boot came off and I was free. He helped me all the way home and I was literally shaking from the awful lonely ordeal. He had a strange story to tell. "I was in Great Cornard, on the other side of the Country Park, and decided, for some reason, to turn and go another way. I was not going near the Park, but something made me turn and take another route. Suddenly, I heard what I thought were children shouting from over in Little Cornard Mere. Then, I heard the words "help me." I followed the sound till I realized somebody was screaming for help. What made me hear your voice from another village, especially as the fog was quite thick and two very large fields to cover to reach you, I will never know." Then, I realized that Eva, or my guides, had somehow gotten Alan, for that was the name of my "anorak wearing angel", to turn into the Country Park. I must explain that he had to walk over half a mile to reach me. Abbie's "guardian angel Godmother Eva" was one angel, and Alan was my second angel. I used to meet him in the town of Sudbury quite a lot, but in recent years, there has been no sighting of him. Everytime we met I would say, "Hello, my angel" and he would smile back at me. His wife was with him one afternoon when I saw him and she said, "So, you are the lady he often talks about. The one he helped." I smiled at her and said, "Yes I am she and he will always be "my angel" for the wonderful thing he did that day." |
