ANGEL INN AT BROOMFIELD, CHELMSFORD, ESSEX, ENGLAND

     On October 27, 2007, an investigation into paranormal activity at the Angel Inn in Broomfield, Chelmsford, Essex was arranged by Sally and Joe Kemp. The Angel Inn, built in the early 18th century, was once a coaching house on the main road to and from Chelmsford.
     Invited to join Joe and Sally in the investigation were friends:
          International Trance Medium - Jay Love
          Medium and also partner with Joe and Sally - Rob
          Renowned Spirit Photographer - Ron Bowers
     The group were also joined by seven members of staff, many of whom have experienced paranormal activity, upon occasion, at the Inn.
     Sally and Joe conducted séances and Ouija board managing to contact restless spirits that refused to leave the Angel. Ron Bowers was not involved in these proceedings, but managed to capture many ghost-like figures and ectoplasm while taking some 600 pictures during the four hour night investigation. Of particular interest to Ron were the stairs leading to the first floor. One photo was taken immediately after a cold draft swept past Ron on the stairs, showing a misty shaped figure.
     During use of the Ouija board in a bar area, Jay Love made contact with a distressed spirit. While asking questions, Jay saw an ectoplasm around the group which Ron was able to capture on film.
     One séance was carried out in a small ground floor room. This séance attracted an angry spirit who attached itself to Joe Kemp - a self-confessed psychic brick - who, up to this point, had never encountered such a feeling. For some time, Joe was unable to free himself of the negative energy, but with the help of Sally, Jay and Rob, he eventually overcame it. Ron captured the dark energy during this séance.
     The evening was very successful in contacting spirit and in photography. The group has been invited to return to the Angel Inn for further investigation.
