X. Most Common Film Captures

ORBS. Many of you will roll your eyes at the mention of Orbs as you’ve probably seen your fair share if you’ve spent any time surfing paranormal sites on the internet. It is true. Orbs seem to be the most common capture on film, but they don’t have to be boring!!

When you start capturing your own, it’s quite exciting. Especially if your camera has a viewing screen and you can see that you’ve captured a huge one even though you didn’t see it with your naked eye. Capturing an Orb in the daytime is also quite a treat.

Daytime Orb

Despite the number of Orb pictures you’ve viewed, with the ability on the computer to enlarge these Orbs to view them more closely, you may, as we did, discover a whole new world. Literally.

Once we had the ability to enlarge the Orbs we captured on film, we discovered faces and animals within, gorgeous auras, odd missing pieces, familiar markings, thick rims around edges, different shapes, movement, varied colors and some with amazing solidity.

Since Orbs have been such a controversy with claims of dust, raindrops, snow, humidity, etc., we are very careful when examining the Orbs we capture. If the Orb is at a distance in the photo and blurs upon enlarging, we do not use it. If the Orb is nearly transparent, unless it has some other distinguishing mark, we don’t use it. If we have any doubt at all, we don’t use the photo. We definitely keep the ones that show the unique characteristics mentioned above.

We also look for patterns in Orb photos that have several Orbs in them. We’ve had Orbs that appear to be playing follow the leader, Orbs in a circle, Orbs shooting straight up, and one gentleman sent a photo where four Orbs did a zigzag (up/down) pattern from the middle of the room to the side wall. These types of Orb photos we also keep, even if only one Orb in the photo has a distinguishing characteristic and the others are nearly see through. Our feeling is that dust, rain, snow and humidity do not have patterns, so chances are, these are Orbs.

Do we know what an Orb is? Do we know why we capture them on film? If we’re to be perfectly honest, we’d have to say no to both questions. We definitely have our own theories and continue to add to those theories with each Orb we capture on film and categorize, but we cannot say that we truly know if an Orb is a spirit or an alien being or something else.

One last note on Orbs before moving on. Don’t just look at an Orb photo and see the Orb. Look at the “whole” picture. Pay attention to where the Orb is in the photo. Is it on or near a specific person; is it on or near a specific grave; does it show up at the exact location of a car accident; does it show up on the water, etc.

You needn’t form any specific opinions right away. Give yourself time to categorize and pinpoint all these things we’ve mentioned. It may take thousands of photos, but you may come up with some extremely interesting theories and have the photos to back them up.
