WAYS TO A HEALTHIER ENERGY SYSTEM

AURA PROTECTION

     If you are going to work toward a healthier energy system, you must have a way to protect yourself from negative energy released by your environment and people around you.
     This protection should not be used all the time as you want to be able to accept positive energy from others and your surroundings too.
     Use the protection if you know you are meeting someone, or going to be around someone, you dislike or are uncomfortable with. Use it if you are going to be in a large group or crowd of people. In this case, it is difficult to tell what kind of energy will be most prominent so it's best to be protected. Use protection if you are entering into an argument with someone or if you just feel uncomfortable somewhere. Use your judgment and do what feels best for you.
     For instance, if your work environment is sluggish, gossipy or just a plain unhappy kind of place, protecting your aura should be done before ever entering.
     There are four very simple ways to protect your aura, each taking only seconds of your time.

1)  The Zip Method: This works very well in crowds. Remember the zip up feety pajamas? Pretend you are slipping into a pair of these - yes, go through the actual motions of slipping them on. If you are extremely good at visualizing, then visualize yourself stepping into them. Either way, get yourself into them, put the hood up that comes with this special pair, and zip them up. While zipping, either out loud or in your head, say, "I am putting on my auric protection. No negative energies can enter into my auric field."
     You're good to go. Once the day is complete or you are no longer with the large group, strip yourself out of these feety pajamas and throw them away. It is best to do this before entering your home.
     This is also a wonderful way to protect your aura if you are shopping during the holidays. Despite the reasoning that holidays bring good cheer, most of us know this isn't true. Holidays are stressful, so protecting yourself while shopping amongst all these other people is a good idea. There's no sense taking all their stress home with you.

2) The Closing: If you are going to deal with a small group of people or a one on one that makes you feel uncomfortable and you are sitting down, try this.
     Sit down and immediately cross your legs at the ankles. Then, with both hands, touch the top of your index finger to the top of your thumb, creating a small circle on each hand. Stay this way through your time with the person or people. This shrinks your aura closer into your physical body and protects it from absorbing negative energy.

3) The Arm Cross: If you are standing and come across a person or persons who want to talk with you,

but make you uncomfortable, cross your arms across your chest. This is a natural defense and we oftentimes do it while standing and waiting in line, if we're bored, or having an argument. Doing this shrinks your aura in closer to your physical body and protects it from absorbing negative energy.

4) The Bubble: If you are good at visualizing, you may prefer to envision yourself surrounded by a bubble of pure white light - completely closed in from head to toe. This also protects your aura from unwanted outside influences.

CLEANSING YOUR AURA

     Just like our physical bodies require daily showering or bathing to wash away the grime of the day, our auras need this too.
     You are an energy magnet and with all the people you see in a day and all the different places you go, your aura will pick up a great deal of debris that you don't need. Even if you use aura protection, since you won't be using it all the time, cleansing your aura is very important.
     The methods are very simple. Choose one that suits you and do it regularly. There's no reason your auric body shouldn't be as clean as your physical body.

1) Bathing in Epsom Salt or Sea Salt: This will cleanse your Aura as salt comes from nature and is very pure. A teaspoon or two into your bath will cleanse your aura.

2) Saging: This will also cleanse your Aura. It doesn't take much. Just light the sage stick and run it around your body. The smoke it produces cleanses away the negative energies. As a side note, while you have the sage lit, it wouldn't hurt to go around your home and eliminate any negative energies within. This way, they won't reattach to you.

3) Breathing: A quick method when you are feeling overwhelmed is to pull in a deep breath through your nose and release it through your mouth. Do this three times. This helps disperse negative energies that are making you feel heavy.

4) Visualization: You can visualize yourself showering under a fresh, pure waterfall, each droplet of water taking negative energy with it as it cascades down and off your body. You can visualize yourself swimming in the ocean, imagining the negative energies falling away with each stroke you take. You can visualize yourself lying peacefully in the sun, allowing its warmth to evaporate all the negative energies from your aura.
     Your cleansing abilities in visualization are only as limited as your imagination. Use the elements of earth, water, air and fire to create a visualization that makes you come away feeling light and clean.
 

CHAKRA WORK

     Since our Chakras disperse necessary energy to our physical body, they are vitally important to our health and well being. It is very necessary to keep them running smoothly.
     To understand fully, consider your car. The engine of your car is what makes the car more than just a shell. Everything within the engine allows the car to function well, getting you from point A to point B. When a car runs well, we just take it for granted that it will work for us when we need it to. As soon as it develops any kind of odd sound, vibration or strangeness that just doesn't feel right, we take it to a mechanic because, after all, we need that car to survive.
     Our bodies are just like the car and our Chakras are the engine. What makes them run is the energy of our thoughts, emotions and beliefs. This energy is strong and can make our bodies run smoothly or cause it to hitch and smoke, creating pain and illness.
     Obviously, when there is a problem, we go to the doctor, however, what if, by regular maintenance, we could keep ourselves running smoothly? After all, we know it's necessary to regularly check the fluids in our car (oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid) to keep it running well, so why not our Chakras?
     Maintenance on our Chakras is not difficult. It takes a little time, but if you consider the time you spend waiting in the doctor's office, you'll spend much less time with your Chakras and still keep your body in good health.
     A few methods have been listed below. Find one (or more than one) that suits your schedule and do your "maintenance" each day.

1) Nature: This is the most logical way to work with your Chakras because everything in nature has vibrational frequencies that match our bodies perfectly.
     If you garden or tend to flowers outdoors, you are already ahead of the game. By working in the soil (earth element), in the sunshine (fire element), breathing the air (air element), watering the soil (water element), your body is absorbing everything necessary to keep your physical body healthy. It doesn't count if you're a modern day farmer working in the fields in a tractor. For your body to absorb the healthy vibrational frequencies that nature provides, you must get down and dirty.
     It is healthy, too, just to sit and relax with your back against the trunk of a tree, breathing in the air, drinking a glass of cold, refreshing water and feeling the sun energizing your body.
     Taking a walk will do the same, especially if you are able to walk by a lake or stream.

     If you don't get out much due to time restraints, you can create an indoor environment just as easily.
     My office at home which I spend a great deal of time in , has a window to let in the sun and fresh air on nice days, a variety of plants, a fountain

that runs 24/7 and many colored stones - purchased and found. My computer chair sits in a position where, in the morning, the sun beats directly on me for a little while. This is the type of atmosphere you should have in at least one room of your home. Everyone within will benefit from it.
     The most expensive part of a room like this is the fountain which, should you purchase one, should plug into the wall outlet. Battery operated fountains are cheaper, but don't run as long and you are continually buying batteries.
     You don't need to buy distilled water for your fountains either. All you need to do is boil your tap water and use it once it cools. The boiling removes anything that might build up on your fountain pump.
     As for plants, starter ones usually cost about 99 cents at Wal-Mart. You may have to purchase a bag of soil and a bit larger pot for each plant, but regardless, it will still cost you under $5.00 for one plant with enough soil for several. They are worth it. You'll gain extra benefit while transplanting too.

2) Color: Colors also carry vibrational frequencies that match the frequencies of our Chakras. The color red (or any earth tone color) is healthy to our root chakra, orange (and various shades of orange) are healthy for our sacral chakra, and so on.
     Have you ever wondered why, upon getting dressed in the morning, you may choose a blue shirt over the yellow one you had planned to wear? This is your body telling you what vibrational frequency it needs for the day. Your color choices will let you know. Jewelry works this way as well.

3) Stones: My personal opinion is that having stones is a good idea even if you are working outside or wearing certain colors. The stones are of nature and, per their colors, carry vibrational frequencies that match our chakras. Good stones to have are below:

Root  - Hematite or Pyrite
Sacral  - Carnelian (orange)
Solar Plexus - Citrine (yellow)
Heart - Malachite (green)
Throat - Blue Lace Agate (light blue)
3rd Eye - Sodalite (dark blue)
Crown - Amethyst (purple)

     These stones can be purchased online from a metaphysical shop for a total of about $7.00.
     Lying with these stones on their designated chakras each day for about 20 to 25 minutes is extremely healthy. The stones absorb negative energy and increase each chakra frequency. Carrying them with you is also very beneficial.
     Don't forget to cleanse them after each use by running them under cold tap water for a few moments or putting them in your fountain water until their next use. This will remove the negative energies they have absorbed.

AFFIRMATIONS

     Since our Chakras are file cabinets filled with every memory and every experience - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual - we've had since birth, they can become blocked, bringing about illness. The vibrational frequencies we absorb through nature, color, and stones helps greatly, but some of these memories and experiences can be very stubborn, needing a bit of extra help.
     The following affirmations will help reprogram those thoughts and emotions that are blocking your chakras, bringing about a healthier way of thinking and unblocking your chakras at the same time.
     Saying these affirmations at least once a day or, better yet, while lying with stones, will be extremely beneficial to your health.

Root Chakra - I have the right to be here and to have the necessary elements to survive.
Sacral Chakra - I have the right to feel and to have pleasure.
Solar Plexus Chakra - I have the right to be myself and to be an individual.
Heart Chakra - I have the right to love and be loved and to allow forgiveness for myself and others.
Throat Chakra - I have the right to speak and hear my own truth without judgment to myself, others, or the world.
Third Eye Chakra - I have the right to see without clouded judgment.
Crown Chakra - I have the right to learn and know from my connections to my sacred contract and highest potential to source.
