It is integral for our optimal health to understand the energy moving within, throughout and around our bodies. The Chakras are a huge part of our life force in this way. They not only distribute the energy, but also keep accurate records of every experience, good and bad, we've dealt with from birth. Some even believe they hold experiences from our past lives. On top of that, each Chakra has been put in charge of certain areas of our bodies. It is their responsibility to keep their designated areas in good health, but sometimes this is very difficult because of our inability, as humans, to let anything go. How many times have we had a relationship, whether romantic or just friendship, that ended in a bad way? Do we just forgive and forget about this experience and move on? The answer, in most cases, is no. We harbor those hurt feelings, nurse our self-esteem, protect our heart - so much so, that the next person we become involved with has a great deal to do to meet our new standards of what we feel a relationship should be. These issues stay lodged in the Chakras and, if they are strong enough issues, they can cause the Chakras to slow in their function of energy dispersal which, eventually, will begin showing up as physical symptoms - health problems - that might have been avoided if we'd paid attention and understood where the problem may have stemmed from. When looking at your Aura Body, there may be times that you see dark red or black in a specific area that doesn't seem to be from anything that has happened that day. Pay attention to this, especially if you've noticed any kind of pain in that area in recent days or have ever had pain or discomfort there in the past. This can be an indication of an issue that you need to address so that you can turn that color back into a healthy color within your Aura.
Below, you will find a list of each Chakra, what parts of the body they are in charge of, the indications of how a person may act if there is an issue that needs addressing, early physical signs of a problem and what physical issues can happen if steps are not taken.
Root Chakra (at the groin area) - The root chakra takes care of our bones, feet, immune system, legs, rectum, base of spine - basically everything from the groin area and down. A person holding onto issues in this chakra may be struggling to provide for their family, not feeling safe, may be afraid of change, may be having financial difficulty, possible weight problems, may seem unable to stand up for themselves, may be extremely greedy, may be unable to focus on anything for any period of time and may have a hard time behaving. Early health problems may include diarrhea, hemorrhoids, restless legs, frequent illness, eating problems, teeth and bone problems, bad knees and/or feet, muscle tension, and irritable bowel syndrome. There are more, but if you have other symptoms pertaining to the area from the groin down, you will know that it may be caused by an unhandled issue in the Root Chakra. If the issues are not addressed, the early health problems can turn into chronic lower back pain, varicose veins, prostate cancer, rectal tumors, teeth loss, anorexia, bulimia, loss of bone density and knee replacement. Again, there are certainly more, but this gives you a general idea.
Sacral Chakra (2" below the naval) - The sacral chakra takes care of our hips, large intestine, pelvic area, sexual organs, urinary area and lower vertebrae - basically everything within the abdominal area. A person holding onto issues in this chakra may be blaming themselves for everything, have a fear of change, sexual problems, guilt for everything, relationship difficulties, poor choices in moral areas, difficulty with social situations, a constant need to depend on others and money issues. Early health problems may include urinary and bladder infections, lower back pain, sexual disorders, lack of flexibility, menstrual issues, reproductive problems, a lack of interest in food, sex or life. There are more, but if you have other symptoms pertaining to the abdominal area, you will know that it may be caused by an unhandled issue in the Sacral Chakra. If the issues are not addressed, the early health problems can turn into ovarian cancer, the need for a hysterectomy, infertility, impotence, spleen dysfunction, depression, bulging discs in the back and rigid joints. Again, there are certainly more, but this gives you a general idea.
Solar Plexus Chakra (2" above the naval) - The solar plexus chakra takes care of our abdomen, adrenal glands, gall bladder, kidneys, liver, pancreas, middle spine, and upper intestines - basically everything in our midsection area. A person holding onto issues in this chakra may be very sensitive to criticism, find it difficult to trust, see themselves as worthless, put themselves at victim status, may be controlling, unreliable, may have temper tantrums, may have an addiction to stimulants or sedatives, and may have difficulty making decisions. Early health problems may include digestion problems, muscle and joint pain, kidney infections, gall bladder attacks, abdominal pain, eating problems and be extremely tired. There are more, but if you have other symptoms pertaining to the midpoint section of your body, you will know that it may be caused by an unhandled issue in the Solar Plexus Chakra. If the issues are not addressed, the early health problems can turn into arthritis, ulcers, hypertension, colon or intestinal cancer, diabetes, pancreatic cancer, kidney malfunction, the need to remove the gall bladder, hypoglycemia, and liver failure. Again, there are certainly more, but this gives you a general idea.
Heart Chakra (midpoint between breasts) - The heart chakra takes care of our arms, breasts, circulatory system, diaphragm, heart, lungs, ribs, shoulders and thymus gland - basically everything in this area. A person holding onto issues in this chakra may be carrying huge amounts of grief, have a negative attitude about many things, may not be able to make a commitment, may be afraid to love and trust others or self, may be withdrawn and lonely, may be quite judgmental of others, depressed, jealous, clinging, co-dependent, and always sacrificing for others with disregard to themselves. |
Early health problems may include heartburn, shortness of breath, constant coldness of hands and feet, constant illness or immune system problems, chest pain, pneumonia, bronchitis, arm and shoulder tension. There are more, but if you have other symptoms pertaining to this area of your body, you will know that it may be caused by an unhandled issue in the Heart Chakra. If the issues are not addressed, the early health problems can turn into heart disease, lung cancer, blood clots, asthma, acid reflux, sunken chest, and spine cancer. Again, there are certainly more, but this gives you a general idea.
Throat Chakra (hollow at base of throat) - The throat chakra takes care of our esophagus, hypothalamus, mouth, neck vertebrae, jaw, teeth and gums, throat, thyroid and trachea - basically everything within this area. A person holding onto issues in this chakra may have difficulty making choices, be afraid to voice their opinion, may talk excessively, may be quite shy, tend to gossip about others, may interrupt a lot, may have addictions, may lie frequently, may be very critical and have poor rhythm. Early health problems may include sore throat or strep throat, ear infections, laryngitis, teeth clenching or grinding, neck pain, toothaches, bleeding gums, swollen glands, and thyroid problems. There are more, but if you have other symptoms pertaining to this area of your body, you will know that it may be caused by an unhandled issue in the Throat Chakra. If the issues are not addressed, the early health problems can turn into throat cancer, loss of hearing, teeth loss, loss of mobility in the neck area, over or under active thyroid, esophageal cancer, gingivitis, and scoliosis. Again, there are certainly more, but this gives you a general idea.
Third Eye Chakra (between brows on forehead) - The third eye chakra takes care of our brain, ears, eyes, nervous system, nose, pineal gland and pituitary gland - basically everything within this area. A person holding onto issues in this chakra may be insensitive, may have poor vision, may have little or no imagination, may be dishonest about themselves, may be very close-minded, may have difficulty learning, may have a hard time with the truth, may be in denial about many things, may have nightmares, and may have concentration problems. Early health problems may include headaches, vision problems, hearing problems, nose bleeds, hormone imbalances, and ear infections. There are more, but if you have other symptoms pertaining to this area of your body, you will know that it may be caused by an unhandled issue in the Third Eye Chakra. If the issues are not addressed, the early health problems can turn into brain tumors, stroke, neurological disturbances, seizures, blindness, deafness, need for nose cauterization, cataracts and glaucoma. Again, there are certainly more, but this gives you a general idea.
Crown Chakra (top of head) - The crown chakra takes care of our muscular system, our skeletal system and our skin. A person holding onto issues in this chakra may be having learning problems, may have rigid belief systems, may be very uncourageous, may have difficulty trusting anything in life, may have a hard time envisioning the big picture, may be greedy and may be dominating. Early health problems may include a lack of energy, sensitivity to light and/or sound, headaches, muscle aches, dry skin, and bone problems. There are more, but if you have other symptoms pertaining to these areas of your body, you will know that it may be caused by an unhandled issues in the Crown Chakra. If the issues are not addressed, the early health problems can turn into migraines, chronic exhaustion that seems to have no physical reason, bone loss, eczema, coma, and brain tumors. Again, there are certainly more, but this gives you a general idea.
You must also understand that the chakras do not work independently from one another. They send energy up the body and down the body to one another as well, dispersing it in the areas it is needed. This means that our issues also move, normally affecting every chakra. For instance, if we are having money issues and are having a difficult time making ends meet, this will affect our root chakra. However, this sets off a chain reaction because we are physical, emotional, mental and spiritual beings. The chain reaction will go something like this: Difficulty making ends meet affects the Root Chakra. This then brings about guilt and blame upon ourselves because we know we should be able to provide properly so this affects our Sacral Chakra. Then, we become sensitive to everything everyone is saying, have bad self-esteem and take on a form of victim status which affects our Solar Plexus Chakra. Suddenly, we have a negative attitude, feel unworthy of love and try to overcompensate which affects our Heart Chakra. We want to communicate how we feel, but cannot do it because we know we would have to then be honest about ourselves, so we keep quiet and this affects our Throat Chakra. We begin to have nightmares about starving to death or denying that there is a problem, hiding behind another excuse and this affects our Third Eye Chakra. After this, we are unable to see how we will ever get ourselves out of the mess we are in and the future looks impossibly grim, thus affecting our Crown Chakra. As you can see, one issue can affect our whole energy system. This is why it is important, even if you only have a physical symptom in one area of your body, that you treat your entire body as a whole. By doing this, you will not only help the problem physical area, but will also promote much better health in other areas that might soon be developing problems.
