Special Bulletin:
Angie Christie's great grandson was born yesterday (Nov. 27), but is
in dire need of all your prayers. The little guy needs heart surgery,
his lungs are not working well and there are other things wrong as
well. Please, give a moment to pray for him as mass prayer is very
powerful. Will keep all of you updated as we can. Thank you. |
|
Update:
Daniel (the little guy) made it through
the heart operation today (Nov. 30) and is breathing better. Prognosis looks
good, so keep those prayers coming! Thanks to you all!! |
Update Letter and Pictures from Angie: To all my
dear friends all over the world for the continued prayers and healing thoughts
for Daniel. It looks like a miracle. He was kept alive by support but sailed
through the operation and can breathe and take bottle much better now. I have
just been in touch with Richard, my step grandson, and he tells me that Daniel
has hole in heart and he is suffering from Tetraology of Fallot, but doctors are
optimistic that he will be able to lead a good life, although as Richard says,
not a sportsman. It is such a tremendous relief. He is still in the John
Radcliffe Hospital but improving all the time. Katen, my dear friend in N. Carolina asked me to
pray to Archangel Raphael, the savior of babies and children. It looks
like he has heard our prayers. Richard has kindly sent over before and after
pictures of Daniel so that you can all see him. He is a beautiful
baby. I have sent my grandson, Richard, also holding him and some of
Alexander (Daniel's brother), and Annabelle, his big sister. Keep the
prayers going please as he is not "out of the woods" yet, but his
strength is making him recover so well. God bless you all, wherever
you may be in the world, and for being there for him. We must not
forget Alexander either as he needs your prayers also. Angie Christie |
Update for December 4, 2006:
Daniel's been
allowed to go HOME!!! He must be monitored every 4 weeks and have another heart
operation in 6 months when he's a bit bigger and stronger, but his family has
him home now! Thank everyone here for all of their prayers for him!!! With this
kind of wonderful support, he can make it through anything! Dear Readers, Angie calling. Firstly, I wish to thank all of those who are
sending prayers for baby Daniel. Latest news is that he is getting stronger
every day and its all thanks to the power of prayer. Several churches have him
in their healing books also. Secondly, I would like to take this opportunity of
wishing all our readers of The Night Watchman Chronicles a very happy and
peaceful Christmas from England and to thank those who asked me for a reading
over the past year. Thirdly, my thanks to our dear editor, Chris, for all her
kindness to me and making me so welcome as part of the magazine. God bless you
all. Angie Christie, Night Watchman Chronicles. |

Update for December 18, 2006:
Angie calling with an update on baby Daniel's progress. I
have just heard tonight, 18th December, that Daniel is coming on in 'leaps and
bounds'. His blood flow to his lungs has improved and he is gaining weight. Jon
informed me that he has to have the operation on the hole in his heart sooner
than later. This will probably be between 3 - 6 months. He kept his mum and dad
awake last night wanting extra feeds so that is a good sign. Alexander is also
doing well and has a hospital appointment tomorrow to check on his progress too.
All three children will, we know, have a wonderful Christmas. I know Torie and
Jon join with us in thanking you all for your concern and your prayers as this
has helped the boys no end. So from myself, my family and from Torie, Jon,
Annabelle, Alexander and baby Daniel, we thank you for your continuing thoughts
and prayers and a coming year which we hope will see peace to the earth coming
that bit nearer. God bless you all. Angie Christie |
|
Update for December 30, 2006:
Dear Readers, Just to tell you that Daniel is doing
well as can be expected. He has a follow up appointment on 18th January and,
hopefully, Torie and Jon will be told how quickly they can operate. This, of
course, they said is scary, but it has to be done. He is learning quickly that
if he cries, he is picked up by whomever is nearest at the time! This, of
course, is because he cannot be left to cry. He is eating well too so,
hopefully, his weight will be increased considerably when the operation takes
place. His little brother, Alexander, is also having to undergo quite a number
of tests during January, so it is a very fraught time for his Mum and Dad too.
This will consist of a swallow test, physiotherapy, feeding checks and
orthopedic check. Your continued prayers are very badly needed still, so keep
them coming please. It is wonderful that so many of our friends across the world
have followed Daniel and Alexander's progress. All the family thank you so much
and I am sure that baby Daniel and little Alexander are being helped with the
power of your prayers. God bless from us all for a wonderful, peaceful New Year
wherever you may be. Angie Christie, England

Update for January 17, 2007:
Dear Readers, here is an update on the boys. Alexander had
a barium meal test last week and they found no major problem with his throat. He
chokes on lumps in food. The speech therapist is amazed at how many words he can
say also, considering his problem with swallowing lumps. Also, everyone, the
physiotherapist is very, very pleased with him too. He was taken to a
pediatrician again and also pleased with progress he is making. He has to have a
blood test as it appears there is a blood disorder that is a bad gene that is
linked with Noonan's Syndrome. Daniel has to go back on Thursday to Oxford and
hopefully Alexander's heart will be tested too. Tori says, most evenings, Daniel
cries and has to have feeds, etc. They cannot leave him to cry. We will all
breathe a sigh of relief when Daniel has his second heart operation. Thank you
all for caring and praying and looks like it's working. We thank you, wherever
you are. Angie |
|
Update for January 31, 2007:
Daniel has a chest infection, but it is hoped that his
operation will be in two weeks. Keep those prayers coming as the little guy has
quite the battle yet ahead! |
|
Update for February 7, 2007: We
have just heard word that baby Daniel suffered a setback with a symptom of
fallot. He breathed in and then no breath came out and he went floppy. The staff
at the hospital helped him and Tori said "with cuddles from nurses, he
recovered." They still do not know when the date for his operation on the heart
will be and, this time, it will not be the one we hoped for - just a follow up
to the operation he went through at 1 day old. I know that your thoughts and
prayers are helping so much. Alexander has developed chicken pox, but is
recovering. He needs your prayers so much too. Noonan's Syndrome is what both
boys suffer from in different ways. Tori and John are so grateful for your help
and not only do the little ones need your help, but they need the strength I
know they are getting from you all over the world. Thank you from all our family
and when I get more news, I will send it to you all. Angie. |
Update for February 12, 2007:
Dear friends around the world - We have
just heard that Oxford Hospital phoned and wanted Daniel in today, 12th
February, for an operation. He is not strong enough yet to have the hole in the
heart operation, but they are following up on the one he had at one day old.
Tori is at the hospital with him. Please can you keep Daniel in your prayers
tonight. It's a very worrying time for everyone. Thank you. God bless. Angie in
England. |

Update for March 4, 2007:
Dear readers of the Night Watchman Chronicles, Angie here. I have heard today
that Daniel is coming along well. He has reached 3 months old and his weight is
8 lbs. A new milk formula is being tried on him now because he is not gaining
the weight he should be. His Uncle Richard phoned me a few minutes ago, after
seeing Daniel, and gave me this update. Alexander is a wonderful smiling little
boy and also seems to be doing well. The recent operation Daniel had seems to be
working well where they, in a 4 hour operation, fitted in a new valve to his
heart. The poor little baby has to go through another operation to close the
hole in the heart as soon as they can get him to gain weight. So, thank you
everybody - all our readers and friends for the continued prayers for these two
special little boys and for their family. God bless you all. Angie Christie |
|
Update for March 8, 2007:
Angie here. Just this minute received. Baby Daniel and
Alexander our special boys with big sister Annabelle (see photos below). I just
love the one of Alex nodding off in his chair. With your continued prayers we
can make them strong. I know all the prayers from around the world are so
vitally important because the medical team are very happy with the progress they
are making. Daniel MUST put on weight for that vital operation. My family and
Daniel and Alexander's mum and dad, Tori and John, are so grateful for the
wonderful people out there that care. Also wish to thank my editor, Chris, on
this website for the wonderful way they put the updates for you all to see in
"Daniel's Page" found on the homepage of the website. Angie |

Update for March 27, 2007:
Hello readers and friends. Angie calling. I have just had
another email from Alexander and Daniel's mum, Tori, and it's good news.
Firstly, in a little while, Alex is being fitted with a special jacket to help
his spine and also specially built shoes to fit his very narrow feet and this,
the medical team feels will make him, hopefully, walk by aged 2. His birthday is
in June, so fingers crossed. Baby Daniel is also well and his weight is slowly
going on which will give him more of a chance to have his operation for the hole
in the heart he still has. I have heard from my son, Peter, that Alexander is
now starting to climb the stairs which is a real breakthrough. Your prayers and
thoughts are working. I would love to one day be able to say the boys are well
now, but that day is a long way off. You don't know what it means when I get
messages from some of you for the thoughts you send over. God bless you all.

Update for April 30, 2007:
Dear friends and readers of The Night Watchman
Chronicles, Angie here. Have just had an update on the boys. In the month of
May, Daniel has 2 appointments at the hospital and Alexander has 3. Both are
well and thank you for the thoughts and prayers that keep coming over. Not only
does it help my granddaughter, Tori, and Jon giving them strength to cope with
all the appointments, but it is helping Daniel and Alexander too. Through these
thoughts, coming in from all over the world, it gives comfort to Tori and Jon
knowing there are so many wonderful caring souls who seem to have taken these
special boys to their hearts. Thank you. I will keep everyone updated as I hear.
Bless you all. Angie |
|
Update for May 17, 2007:
Please everyone, can you again
pray for Daniel as he is crying with urine infection and thrush. He is
not well at all. Better news on Alexander. He is starting to use his
legs with the aid of a baby walker and everyone hopes he can actually
walk down the aisle in September as he is a pageboy at his Uncle
Richard's wedding in Bristol. Daniel and Alex both need so much help
and I know that they have many friends out there in the world. Thank
you so much for all your thoughts. Angie. |
|
Update for May 18, 2007:
Dear "helpers" for the boys
wherever you are... I have just been informed of a break through. Alexander
actually, for the very first time, walked backwards by himself down the stairs.
If you can understand what he suffers from (Noonan's Syndrome), you will see
just how important those little steps took to take. Daniel has been suffering
from urine infection and thrush, very weepy, but he now has cut a tooth! His
very first! Angie |
|
Update for May 25, 2007:
Dear friends of Daniel and Alexander,
Angie here again. I have just had an email from Tori, Daniel's mum. Daniel had a
checkup at the hospital and they are not happy with his weight gain, or lack of
it. They are going to try him on a powder in his milk called Duo-cal. If this
does not work, he has to suffer a feeding tube in his nose and he will be tube
fed. Daniel needs another operation - his third in his young life - in
approximately 3 months time. We are praying he will be allowed to his Uncle
Richard's wedding on 8th September. His brother, Alexander, will be page boy,
bless him. Please keep up your prayers. He needs you all and thank you from the
bottom of our hearts for all the concern you show the boys and the prayers you
do send. Angie. |
|
Update for July 27, 2007:
Dear readers and friends of
Alexander and Daniel. Today I received the latest update on our boys from their
mum, Tori. Daniel had another check up and it's been decided that they are not
going to operate in August after all, but will leave it till later on in the
year. They said that they will have a good look inside him in either October or
November when they will know more. On the not so good side, they have now
decided that Daniel has an allergy to cow's milk (Alexander did also, but has
outgrown it). They did not, on request, check this fact when he was born. They
have yet, again, changed his milk and anything that contains milk must be
avoided. Alexander had an MRI scan which shows no more severe abnormalities and
his doctor is getting the neurosurgeon to check it over. Tori has to take him
back for more blood tests. The pediatrician is going to see both boys on 2nd
August to check them both over. Tori says at last someone is doing some good and
she is upset that Dr. Krezter will be leaving at the end of September. She has
dealt with the boys all the time. Alex is very fretful and has kept everyone
awake since 4:30 am. Please may I ask all you good souls out there to continue
your prayers for Alexander and Daniel. It's more appreciated than you will ever
know. God bless you all, Angie and the 'boys'. |
|
Update for August 6, 2007:
Dear 'friends' of Daniel and Alexander.
Angie calling. I have just received the very latest update on the boys. They
both were taken to the pediatrician today, 2nd August, 2007. She was extremely
pleased with Alexander. She said he has improved fantastically and sees no
concerns with the MRI scan after discussing it with others. She agrees that a
speech therapist would really help Alex and he is being referred to him. Also
referral to a community doctor who deals with development. Tori is very pleased
as she knows it will help Alex so much.
Now Daniel on the other hand. She is pleased in how well he looks, but
is very concerned about the fact that he is so small. Discussions with the
cardiac team in Oxford and a high chance that he will have to be tube fed. This
is upsetting for Tori and Jon. He needs to put on weight and be bigger than he
is and they would rather do it now than leave it. To have the much needed heart
operation his weight must go up. He has to have all the right nutrients.
The pediatrician is also referring Daniel to the right team in regard to
his extra fingers, although this at the moment is not a top priority. Daniel was
born with an extra finger on both hands. Tori said she is waiting to hear from
the hospital in Oxford regarding the tubes and they must also be shown how to
achieve this. Today Alexander has climbed out of a
trolley in a supermarket, climbed out of his high chair and on to the table!!!
He sat on a plate with ketchup on it, moved, then picked the plate up and licked
it clean. As his mum says, a ‘charmer’. Also drawn on the wall with a pen they
have no idea how he found it. But this is progress. She said they will have to
have eyes in the back of their heads when he does eventually walk.
Thank you so very much for your continued prayers for the boys. I can’t
wait to meet them both on 8th September when their Uncle Richard gets
married in Bristol, England. Little things that Alex
does means progress in a big way for him. To you all
out there who read and help the boys, please know that its appreciated so much
by his mum and dad, and by all the family. Angie |

Update for August 13, 2007:
Dear
Friends of Alexander and Daniel.
Angie here, and good news on baby Daniel. At long last, this little one is
putting weight on and he is now 9 months old, weighing in at 11 lbs. 11 oz.
which is a big rise. At this rate, he will be having this most important heart
operation - his third. He has a problem that the hospital are going to now look
into. He is in agony when he has to go to the toilet, screams in pain. It was
their big sister Annabelle's 4th birthday last week and a good time was had by
all at a party in her honor. Alexander had a wonderful time and Daniel also.
Your prayers and thoughts are working for these little boys. Thank you so much
for all your concern and for entering their page. God bless you. Angie. |
|
Update for August 15, 2007:
Everyone,
Angie here. Today we received an email from Alexander and Daniel's mum.
Wonderful progress. For first time in his little life, Alexander took his first
steps. He was so pleased with himself they are hoping that by September he will
be walking. Thank you so much. This news comes as a real breakthrough. Thank God
he has people who look at the boys' page and care. It's working now. Keep the
prayers going please. Angie |
|
Update for August 21, 2007:
Dear Readers and friends of the boys. After being
weighed again, little Daniel has lost weight since the last update. He is so
tiny. In my last update, he weighed 11 lbs 11 oz and it's not a lot considering
he is now 9 months old. I am sorry to say that his weight has dropped and this,
we feel, will mean tube feeding the poor little man. He has to have the all
important heart operation but they want to get his weight up much more than
this. They cannot understand why he cried when he 'goes to the bathroom' so it
looks as if more tests must be carried out to find the cause. All in all
friends, he needs your prayers so badly. Thank you for reading this update. I
will be meeting the boys on 8th September and will try and get some photographs
taken. God bless you all. Angie. |
|
Update for September 26, 2007:
Dear
friends of Daniel and Alexander. Angie here. Tonight I received an update from
Tori, their mum. It's good news on Daniel as the tube feeding has brought his
weight up to almost 13 pounds. Much needed. He has developed a cold. There is
concern over their sister, Annabelle, aged 4. I met the children at their Uncle
Richard's wedding for the first time. When I have some photos, I will ask Chris,
our editor, to put them on their page. Annabelle and myself became good friends
and she really is a lively little girl. There is a worry now as she apparently
keeps falling over. Tori is worried it may be her eyesight as Alexander's eyes
are not 100% either. She is going to be tested. It might also be her ears as
Tori says sometimes she does not seem to hear. Please, dear readers, can you
pray for Annabelle as well as her little brothers. It is amazing and wonderful
how gentle and loving their mum and dad, Tori and Jon, are towards the children
and they, too, need our prayers so much. Coping is 24 hours a day. The children
could not have asked for kinder parents. One day, friends, I want to write on
their page that all is well, but that day may be a long way off. God bless you
all for looking at their little page and caring. Angie. |
|
Update for October 2, 2007:
Dear Friends, I have just heard that Daniel and
Alexander's sister, Annabelle, has Dysphraxia. She fell over on the way home
from school and has a large bump on the head. Annabelle saw the doctor who said
he is referring her to a clinic as there is some disorder which makes children
overly clumsy. At the moment, Tori has eleven appointments for the children so
needs all our prayers and help. Baby Daniel has had a cold and Alexander is
getting it too. They have an appointment for Daniel this month that requires him
being put to sleep so they can check his body, heart, etc. to see how he is
faring. Tori said they should give her some date now for his big heart
operation. Thank you so much for all the times you ask me about the children,
look at the page on this website and send all your kind thoughts and prayers.
These will be needed in abundance for the heart operation. God bless you all,
Angie |
|
Update for October 21, 2007:
Dear Friends who care so much.
Baby Daniel has had to be taken to hospital as his weight is giving cause for
concern. He just isn't putting the much needed weight on for his heart
operation. I know you are always there for the boys and I know Daniel needs us
all to pray and hope for a good result to this weight problem. Thank you for
reading this update and I know you will join with the family in asking Spirit to
guard him and keep him safe in hospital and that the medical staff can help the
little boy put the weight on he badly needs. God bless you all, Angie and all
the family. |
|
Update for October 25, 2007:
Dear Friends. Daniel is still
hospitalized. The doctors thought he had meningitis as all the symptoms pointed
to that, but it has been discovered that it is not meningitis, but
staphylococcus which has a link to septicaemia. Daniel is doing a little better
but this staph infection is also linked to mrsa - another staph infection that
is antibiotic resistant. We need many, many prayers at this time. Daniel is
almost a year old (on November 29) and he is only as big as a four month old
baby. Please, I know that you have been praying hard throughout this whole
ordeal, but add a few more for Daniel as often as you can. We thank you all with
all our hearts for all that you have already given! |
|
SPECIAL MESSAGE:
To all the many readers of the Night
Watchman Chronicles website, to their friends and families wherever you are
around the world. Today, Chris sent over many wonderful offers of prayers for
Baby Daniel and as I write this letter to you all, I can hardly do so as my eyes
are watering so much. From Daniel's family - from his dear Mum and Dad Tori and
Jon, Annabelle and Alexander - I know that once they see just how many people do
care, it will give them strength they badly need. Many of you wonderful people
have asked what time zone to say the prayers tomorrow. I think it will be nice
to pray in your own time zones as they are so varied. To the family that said
they will get up any time of the night if it helps, I say, just anytime and
thank you for your kindness. When help is needed for children like Daniel, it is
so heartwarming to see how many want to help and when I was sent all your
replies, I realized that the little man is not alone and that he has many
honorary "uncles and aunties" that are praying for him and for little Alexander.
Although Daniel is now 11 months old, he is only the size of a 4 month old and
needs to put on weight, get over this awful bug he has picked up, so that his
3rd heart operation can be carried out. God will hear these prayers and Spirit
will guard our little Daniel. Once again, we are overwhelmed at the response to
the emails. God be with you all. Angie October 26, 2007 |
|
Update for October 28, 2007:
Dear Friends
of Daniel. I have received a short email from Tori, Daniel's mum, who says
that Daniel is making better progress. The hospital has put Daniel back on a
milk diet, but being so ill, he went past wanting anything and must be
encouraged to take his milk. Also, good news is that he may be back home on
Tuesday, but it's in no way certain yet. All our grateful thanks for the prayers
that have gone out around the world from you all. It's so overwhelming that you
all care. With you all there behind Daniel and his brother, Alexander, Daniel
will get over this. Tori is very tired and worn out and I pray she manages to
get away for a few days once Daniel is well enough as she needs this break
badly. God bless each and every one of you wherever you all may be. Angie |
|
Update for October 31, 2007:
Daniel is so much better today, in fact, he is better
than he has been for a very, very long time.
Tori brought Daniel home from the hospital and they said that
they do not want to see him again for a very long time - meant in the nicest way
possible, of course. Daniel is eating better than he was as well which is much
better. He has an appointment which he missed last week, now on 21st November
where they will put him to sleep to do a delicate procedure he needs and then on
23rd, he has his cardiac appointment. Tori hopes you are all well out there and
she thanks all of you so much for thinking of Daniel. The prayers, my friends,
are so powerful. You have all helped him reach this point and it's nice to know
that his way lies forward. I am 'over the moon' as is all the family and all I
can say to you all around the world, from me, Angie, is God bless you all in
whatever country you are in. |
|
Update for November 06, 2007:
Dear Friends of Daniel and Alexander: I have
heard today, 6th November, from Tori that Daniel is doing very well after the
terrible scare we all had when he had MRSA. He is not only drinking the much
needed milk but is drinking more at each feed. Also, he loves a rusk too. More
good news is that he slept from 7 pm to 7 am which is very good news. Between us
we will get him to that operation to close the hole in his heart. Again, our
grateful thanks to you all around the world who helped us on the 27th October
with the prayer day. I will keep you updated. Daniel will be one year old on
28th November. Thank you all again. Angie |

Update for January 13, 2008:
Dear friends and readers of Daniel's page. Angie
here with an update on Baby Daniel. I have just heard from Tori, his mum, who
told me that Daniel went to see a new Pediatrician who was in consultation with
his original Pediatrician. They have no referred Daniel as an urgent case to the
Gastro Team at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. His problem of feeling agony and
upsetting himself every time he goes to the toilet has to be sorted out. He has
to go once a month for appointment. Daniel's weight is STILL only 13 lbs
although he ate very well over Christmas, etc. He should weigh much more than
this as he is now 1 year old. He is also back on dairy products which has made
him a lot happier. PLEASE, my friends, still send all your healing prayers to
Daniel at this time. After the wonderful prayer day we had all over the world
when he was very ill in hospital with MRSA, etc, the rapid speed to which he
recovered, I know is due to all of you asking for him. Please remember this
wonderful little fighter and Alex too. To have Alexander walking unaided is the
Christmas miracle we all prayed for. God bless you all out there wherever you
may be, reading this update. Angie Christie |

Update for February 5, 2008:
Hello everyone. Angie here. I have an update I would
like to share with you on Alexander and Daniel. As you know from reading all
about these little 'men', the diagnosis since their birth was for Noonan's
Syndrome. But, that is not the case. Since more tests have been carried out,
they have shown that both Alex and Daniel have what is called Smith Lemli Optiz
Syndrome (SLO). The symptoms are too many to mention here, but if you go to
google.com it will show you what this entails. We have a Children's Hospital in
London called Great Ormond Street - a hospital which has a wonderful reputation
in the care of sick children. Both boys are getting referred to this hospital.
Please readers, I know there are many of you out there reading these words who
have taken my great grandsons to your heart and into your prayers. I wish, on
behalf of my family and especially the boys' Mum and Dad, Tori and Jon, to thank
you for all the help and the support you have given us all since their birth.
The boys have such a mountain to climb in their lives and we hope that Daniel
will put the much needed weight on for his hole in the heart operation. God
bless you all wherever you may be. Angie. |

Update for May 5, 2008:
Dear friends of our boys, Alexander and Daniel.
Angie here. I had word today, 5th May, from Tori their mum on latest news.
Daniel, as you know, needs a heart operation as soon as possible. He has had two
already but this next one will be open heart surgery and all your prayers are
needed on that day and after. Tori informs me that they want to do this
operation between now and July. They are hopeful that it will be May - this
month. Our little man will be in hospital for up to one week afterwards and they
have to make absolutely sure he is progressing before he goes back home. So,
friends, I know this update will be placed on the website as soon as Chris and
the Night Watchman get back from their much needed holiday. Thank you for caring
and when I get more information, I will of course keep you all updated. Daniel
will need all his 'angels' to be thinking of him. I thank you all for the care
and concern shown to Tori and Jon throughout the boys' lives. Knowing you care
helps that little family to cope. Alexander will be starting nursery in June and
that will be a big step for him to be taking. The staff have been made aware of
his needs and it will help him so much to be playing with all the other
children. Also, Tori is meeting somebody next week from an early support team
who will be able to tell her what sort of help they are able to receive and she
is also going to coordinate appointments for them too. Tori is also trying to
help others by giving a talk on the boys' special needs and the challenges they
face and I know we all wish her well with this. Thank you all so much for
reading this update and for caring and prayers. Angie. |
|
Thank you for your
prayers! |
