John Schumacher - O.K....what's next? Assuming I live past 80, I have officially entered mid life and chalked up a lot of experiences in the first part of my adult life. I have spent the last several years in Central Iowa broadcasting and reporting on state and local issues ranging from politics and crime to health and feature stories. I have also been a contributor for Radio Iowa and Associated Press. Prior to my relocation to Iowa, I worked as a copy editor for Minnesota News Network in Minneapolis, a Realtor (yuk), a musician (always broke, but had lots of fun), and a host of bartending jobs to supplement my music and traveling habits. So, how did I get here? My guess is fate played a part, and also my love of freedom of thought and freedom of choice. About two years ago, Christina and I started The Night Watchman Chronicles website in an effort to satisfy our curiosity of the paranormal. At first, we concentrated on evidence of ghosts, but the site has blossomed into much more than we ever dreamed of. Since the site's inception, we've been able to interview many interesting people from many fields with exciting, alternative ways of viewing ourselves and the universe. It's from there that this site was born. We want this site to become your first step in a journey toward a successful sharing of all your hard work.

Christina M. Meide-Schumacher - I am not a young spring chicken, having just turned 43 on Halloween 2006, but if age breeds experience, then I can say I've learned a lot in 43 years. Aside from being a mother of four, which is a full time job in itself, I've owned a DJ business and an indoor miniature golf course, written and published three books (currently working on a fourth), worked for the Hampton newspaper and Marshalltown newspaper as their feature reporter, and was traffic assistant at the Marshalltown radio station. During my stint at the radio station, we started The Night Watchman Chronicles website, so I became Web Designer, Marketer, and Magazine Editor and began working at home due to the growth of the website. Both the books and the website have given me worldwide contacts and my 35 year ongoing study of the paranormal has been invaluable. I am also a Freelance Web Designer and often give assistance to others who have interest in writing on where and how to publish. Somewhere in there, I've learned accounting, graphoanalysis and taken a good number of writing courses as well as researching five separate family genealogy lines. Paranormal study, woodburning, reading and writing are passions of mine. This website allows us, with your help, to share the world of free thinking and expression that is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Take a chance... think out of the box and state your intention. Trust the Universe to take it from there. |
